Machu Picchu Tour de um dia inteiro saindo de Cusco

I booked a one-day Machu Picchu tour in March for May. A week before the tour, the local operator, Nixon, told me that one-day tickets were unavailable and asked me to pay an extra $50 for a two-day tour. What followed was a nightmare: waiting in the freezing cold at 1:30 a.m., a four-hour bus-and-train journey, and six hours standing in line for tickets—only to be told that I still couldn’t get one. The tour was cancelled, and no refund was offered. I traveled from the other side of the world to see Machu Picchu but never even got a glimpse of it. Tripadvisor knew the operator was at fault, yet offered me only a 10% refund. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and eventually got a full refund. Absolutely the worst travel experience I’ve ever had.

Tour guide and organization very good. The pickup and drop-off are in need of improvement. The pickup location was changed. It did not match the agreement. Apparently, this change was not communicated internally either. The drop-off location was not identical to the pickup location. We had to walk through half of Cusco at 1:00 AM.

Very good experience. Approachable and pleasant. Talking beforehand provides peace of mind.

When traveling to Machu Pichu Viator takes a step back and doesnt provide clear guidance that the tour company that really handles the tickets and the actual tour needs to be in contact with you directly. When I called Viator to get information on the tour for Machu Pichu they were rude and disinterested in my business since they had already received payment and non-refundable payment. Viator should rename the Machu Pichu tour since they really cannot get the tickets. I traveled with friends to visit Machu Pichu only to be told by Nixon Expeditions that they could not get us tickets for the day we had planned for and paid Viator directly. While in the long run, after many text messages and calls Nixon did arrange for us an alternate tour, it was not was we wanted. Viator gave false expectations of what we paid for and what we received. We did not get to visit Machu Pichu and that was our overall intent. Viator misrepresented the sale of the tickets for this tour. I would not recommend them at all. Do Not purchase tickets from Viator

Magnificent. Just to clarify that it is not a guide who is waiting for us. Once arrived on site, see according to the chosen tour and wait for the bus.

We really enjoyed the tour and especially the hassle free experience of the team taking care of all the transportation and logistics for us. We started from Ollantaytambo instead of Cusco and met the team at Aguas Calientes. Their instructions were easy to follow and their guide met us at the train station to take us to the bus stop. Our circuit tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and shared so much information about the history with us. And he took many great photos of us!! Definitely a 5 stars experience

It was a great tour. My tour guide Giovanna was exceptional and knowledgeable. She explained the story of Machu Picchu and how it came to be today. She took so many great pictures of me lol, at one point even I became tired of taking photos. Even though I didn’t get circuit 2, circuit 3 was great in my opinion. The sun was also hot! In addition, the tour operators communicated effectively leading up to and on the day of the excursion and I really appreciated that. The only issue I had which is minor, is the long wait to return. I got back to Cusco at midnight. Maybe next time I’d appreciate an earlier return to Ollantaytambo - Cusco.
