O campo de batalha Long Tan Nui Dat é a batalha mais famosa travada pelo exército australiano durante a Guerra do Vietnã. Esta batalha aconteceu em uma plantação de borracha. Em 18 de agosto de 2016, uma cerimônia discreta foi realizada no local da batalha; mais de 1.000 veteranos australianos e suas famílias viajaram para o Vietnã para participar da comemoração do 50º aniversário. O passeio começará com uma partida para Ba Ria - Província de Vung Tau em minivan. O guia local irá levá-lo ao local do Long Tan Battlefield, onde você visitará a antiga 1ª Força-Tarefa Australiana em Nui Dat.
Nossa primeira parada é Nui Dat SAS Hill, onde você verá o estacionamento de helicópteros e as áreas de acampamento dos soldados e explicará os locais importantes durante a guerra. Você terá uma visão geral do círculo de 4 km do perímetro da base Nui Dat. Em seguida, visitaremos a floresta de seringueiras e passaremos pela montanha Mong Ngua – que era abrigo dos soldados vietnamitas.

Kim Colby was magnificent! Just the right amount of detail. But, most wonderfully, had flowers and incense and appropriate music at sites (Lest We Forget and Last Post) and in car (Only 19, Khe Sanh). Grand host for sacred places.

Jack took myself and husband up to Long Tan, Nui Dat for a private tour. My Father in Law was a tunnel rat so we had a lot of interest in seeing the area. Jack was extremely knowledgeable on the area, the Aussie camps and the war - but also gave a lot of info about the history Vietnam. He was whitty with a great sense of humor. His empathy for all involved in the war was humbling to see and hear. Lunch was amazing and also opened us to hot bowl Pho - a must try! Would highly recommend Jack for any of his tours.

An excellent and informative tour. Chris was a fantastic guide who brought the history to life through his personal experiences of being stationed in the area. Jack did an awesome job showing my partner and I where my dad served with old photos of what was there all those years ago. He explained vietnams turbulent history perfectly. We stopped and had donuts at a roadside market and he purchased flowers for the Long Tan memorial. We then visited the tunnels where the caretakers dad was a local Viet Cong fighter. Afterwards we had a pho at a local restaurant which was delicious. Would highly recommend this tour.
