My husband and I had a fantastic morning. Our guide was very friendly, He gave us a short tour of the city and showed us many new things at the Belen market; it was very interesting. The fishing part was fun; it was my first time fishing, but he made me feel comfortable and we managed to catch many piranhas. I recommend this tour to anyone traveling through Iquitos; you won't regret it ☺️
Miguel is a very pleasant young man. He has rich knowledge about Amazon/Iquitos areas. We walked through the city center, visited the Belen market, and did piranha fishing on the river. We learned a lot and had fun! We highly recommend this tour. It’s well worth it!
Miguel is a very pleasant young man with a lot of knowledge about Iquitos and surrounding areas. He speaks almost perfect English. We had a very fun tour to the Belen markets and fishing on the river! He even bought us local drinks from the market to try! We highly recommend this tour, it’s well worth it!
It was an amazing experience. Our guide Miguel was introducing the history of Iquitos, was showing us the Belen market. Shown us local snacks and explaining all the different sorts of food for locals very thoroughly. Then we went Piranha fishing! Highlights of the trip for me! We caught about 8 of them and the boat guy Carlos was very friendly too. Also Miguel gave us some local restaurants recommendations. Highly recommended for this trip!
Miguel speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about Iqutios. Loved exploring Belén and had a blast fishing for piranha. Caught some catfish too. Great price for an experience I'll never forget
This tour was truly amazing. First, it’s not just a market visit. The trip lasts around four hours and includes a city tour, a market visit, and piranha fishing. (Our tour guide, Miguel, even offered to cook the piranhas we caught, but we were so tired after the tour that we decided to relax in a local restaurant instead.) The tour is very well planned and combines history, local traditions, and an overview of modern life. What was especially unusual—but amazing—was that Miguel had everything tourists might need, such as an umbrella, sunscreen, and repellent. He was also very flexible with the schedule. Another thing worth mentioning is Miguel’s English: he speaks fluently and can answer all kinds of questions, which is quite rare, as most people can only follow a script in English. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. My son and I enjoyed it a lot.
