Este monumento evoca a expansão ultramarina de Portugal, sintetiza um passado glorioso e simboliza a grandeza da obra do infante D. Henrique, o fundador das descobertas.
Construída em 1515 como uma fortaleza para guardar a entrada do porto de Lisboa, para os marinheiros era a última visão de sua terra natal. Aqui, pararemos por alguns momentos e seguiremos para a margem sul do rio.
Subiremos o rio na margem direita até Cristo Rei. A ideia da construção do Monumento a Cristo Rei surge em 1934, durante uma visita ao Brasil pelo então Cardeal Patriarca de Lisboa, D. Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira. No total, foram utilizadas cerca de 40 mil toneladas de concreto. Depois de construído, foi esculpido à mão em um trabalho minucioso, desenvolvido a mais de cem metros do solo.
Situado junto ao rio Tejo, na área que abrigou o palácio dos reis de Portugal durante cerca de dois séculos, hoje é parcialmente ocupado por alguns departamentos governamentais. É uma das maiores praças da Europa, com cerca de 36.000 m².
É aqui, ao lado da Ponte 25 de Abril, que veremos o maravilhoso pôr-do-sol de Lisboa, em uma bela perspectiva com a moldura do rio, a cidade e a ponte. Um momento inesquecível, a não perder!

Double check your directions to the pick up point because it initially took us to the wrong area. Boat was out of white wine and beer, so the only option for your complimentary drinks were red wine. The snack tray is also meant to be split between two people. So we were a group of 3 and got 2. Boat is nice if you want to sit without distractions.

Left the cruise for my very last day in Lisbon and it was a perfect ending to my trip. The boat was comfortable and provided lots of space to move around and enjoy the sunset! Also, the lounge/waiting by area was very comfortable:
Really lovely catamaran cruise up the Tagus. Our skipper Manuel and host Maria were great and kept the wine and blankets flowing! Shame the only cloud in the sky hid the sunset and made it really cold! Nice scenic trip up to Belém and back under the bridge to the market square and Alfama Would recommend!
Great little sunset cruise, Shame the sun managed to find the only cloud in the sky at sunset! Our skipper Manuel and host Maria were great throughout and kept the wine and blankets flowing! Really nice spacious catamaran with lots of room for all comfortably. Took us out past Belém and back up as far as Alfama Top tips- take warm clothes, it was cold out there and although the blankets helped, it wasn’t enough on its own! The meeting point was a little tricky to find but it’s the end dock right underneath the bridge! Thoroughly enjoyed out time on the water, would absolutely recommend!
Lovely relaxing cruise on the Tagus. Plenty of refreshments, wine all perfectly chilled! Informative and attentive crew - blankets provided when the wind whipped up. Perfect way to finish the day and see the sights from the water. Highly recommend.
A great cruise. The staff were attentive & friendly. The ride was relatively smooth & offered great views of Lisbon from the river. Staff were generous with the free bar, the white wine served was pleasnt. Music was played at a reasonable volume for ambience. Recommend turning up promotly. As all the guest arrived early, we set off early so felt we got more time on the water.
