Lisboa Hike na Frente da Europa

This was my favorite experience on my vacation to Portugal. Miguel was patient and knowledgeable. Doing a challenging hike with a family of non-hikers was intimidating at first, but Miguel helped to make us feel safe. The views are absolutely worth it. Would do again.

On a recent trip to Lisbon I wanted to do something different. I like to stay active when I travel and I thought a hike on the edge of Europe sounded fascinating. After booking the tour, Miguel reached out and offered me alternative dates because rain was expected for the original date. The date change worked out quite well. Miguel was friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and very patient with our group. Our group consisted of an intimate group of 5 who were all at different athletic skill levels. Miguel did a great job of making everyone feel welcome and keeping up with everyone’s pace. Pick up and drop off were very prompt. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an awsome day hiking in Caiscais with Miguel. The hike was long and a bit more difficult than we anticipated but Miguel was so patient. He also did a great job in keeping us engaged with the hike with his seemingly unlimited knowledge of the fauna and the surrounding areas. I definitely recommend being honest with your hiking abilities/experience and Miguel will Taylor the hike to what is comfortable for you. Also hiking shoes will be an absolute benefit if you have them. I thought my trusty sneakers has sufficient grip😕. Half way through the hike Miguel let me use his shoes! And he used mine and what a different hike I was on after that. Again highly recommend hiking shoes. Other tourist spots are always on the list for Lisbon but if you want an actual experience on your trip Volta adventures with Miguel is an awesome choice!

We had such a wonderful experience hiking with Miguel and would highly recommend him to anyone considering a guided hike. My wife and I joined him for a hike with absolutely beautiful views, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Miguel is incredibly friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable. We booked quite late, but he was still very accommodating and made everything easy for us. What really stood out was the way he guides you. He makes you feel very confident in your own ability to hike, while at the same time sharing so much interesting knowledge about the surrounding environment. He has a very calm and encouraging way about him that makes the experience both enjoyable and reassuring. After the hike, he also gave us excellent recommendations for lunch and ice cream in Cascais, which was the perfect ending to a great day. If you are thinking about booking a hike with Miguel, do it. You’ll be in very good hands.

What a hike !!! Hiking with Miguel of Volta Adventures was a wonderful and unique way to visit the edge of Europe! He took me on a marvelous path along the coast, revealing breathtaking views, hidden spots, and wild landscapes I would never have discovered on my own The experience was not only beautiful but also fun and enriching, with great conversations and lots of laughs along the way I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable experience in Portugal!
