Lima City, Central Market & Catacombs Tour (Pick-up & Drop Off)

This tour was really wonderful. They picked me up on time in a clean, comfortable van. My guide, Alex was amazing. He was super knowledgeable and taught me so much about Peruvian history in a relevant and memorable way. The catacombs were so cool and he shared so much information and answered all of my questions. Walking around the square and the market was awesome, felt safe, and I learned a ton!

Our tour of downtown Lima was incredible! Juan was an outstanding guide - knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about Peru & Lima's history. He brought the colonial architecture, the Plaza Mayor, and the city's rich past to life with stories that kept even our kids engaged the whole time. He balanced historical depth with fun, kid-friendly moments, making sure everyone in the family stayed interested. The pace was perfect and Juan happily answered all our questions. If you're visiting Lima with family, ask for Juan - you won't be disappointed! Our driver, Henry, was excellent too!

Great tour for a wonderful half day experience of historic Lima. Guide has tremendous knowledge of the area and history of Lima and Peru. Would recommend to anyone!

Alexander was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of Incan and Spanish history was fabulous. We learned so much about Peruvian history. He gave us time for stops to try foods along the way and explained how the Chinese became part of Perus history. Ending the tour in city center after visiting the catacombs was the perfect ending to our tour. He took the time to help us get family photos and even dropped us off along the parks along the ocean so we could walk back to our hotel along the ocean. I would recommend this tour and Alexander to anyone interested in learning about Lima and the history of Peru and all the different blended cultures that make up the population.

Our guide Alexzander was amazing. Full of great information, able to answer any question anyone asked him. He gave us so much information about each place we went without making it too much. He pointed out different types of architecture and gave loads of cool facts on Peru's history. He also bought us some fruits at the central market to try which was a nice touch. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 was it just felt a bit rushed at times but I think this is because there was a couple who had to get home earlier than the 4 hours scheduled for the tour so the tour was under pressure to finish on time for them. Would highly recommend as a way to see central Lima safely and to learn loads of new knowledge about the country.

Klaudia was amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable about history and remembers important events, dates, years, and eras with remarkable recall. Although it was only a half-day tour, I left feeling very well informed about the history of Lima. She was able to connect with each tour participant based on their individual interests, whether in health, history, politics, or current events. She is truly a great tour guide. My highlight was the fruit tasting and visiting the herbal stand, which featured an incredible selection of teas and dried herbs. I highly recommend this tour.

The Sunday tour was efficient and informative, as we meandered through the Old City of LIma. Klaudia, was very resourceful re information regarding her city.

Our guide Alexander was excellent! He was able to provide a lot of context about current politics and social issues and Perú while also sharing about the history of Peru. The catacombs were very interesting and there were lots of cool buildings to see in the city center.
