Desde 1953, o Teatro Nacional de Danças Gregas de "Dora Stratou" é o museu vivo da dança grega e é único, em seu gênero, no mundo. Danças, canções e música são apresentadas em suas formas originais como eram ou ainda são executadas nas respectivas aldeias ou ilhas da Grécia. Extensos estudos de campo por uma equipe de pesquisadores sob a direção do professor Alkis Raftis confirmam a fidelidade das performances ao original.

After watching Greek dancing at several restaurants we were craving to join in and welcomed the opportunity to learn how. We were greeted immediately and experienced a remarkably patient and effective step-by-step instruction that rapidly taught us to dance like Zorba! This was a fun class that gave us a glowing sense of achievement. It is appropriate and recommended for all ages.
It was great! Professor Markus has a lot of historical knowledge about the various traditional Greek dances and is a wonderful professional dancer. Even in a short time, he was able to teach us many steps. The place is very interesting, a house with stories! I highly recommend the activity.
Not worth it. You hardly learn anything. Too many steps introduced in short time . We just wanted to learn Zorba, but instructor kept going in many other dances and we hardly learned anything

Whether you’re a beginner or have some dance experience, the class is welcoming and easy to follow. It was a joyful, immersive way to connect with Greek traditions, and so much fun! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and engaging cultural activity.
It was professional. Marina went to great lengths with the three of us. We had a lot of fun. We would definitely come back. The dance class took place in great spaces in the middle of the Plaka.
