Lecce a Reserva Natural de Reserva Natural Protegida por Cesine

A zona que separa Lecce do mar comprova a beleza da paisagem do Salento e ainda preserva os vestígios do importante papel que esta zona desempenhou na história. Saindo de Lecce em direção ao sudeste por estradas secundárias, chegaremos à vila fortificada de Acaya, sítio messápico onde você poderá admirar o majestoso castelo medieval, as muralhas da vila e seu antigo plano urbano, ainda preservado. Em seguida, seguiremos em direção ao parque natural da WWF “Le Cesine”, que esconde muitas belas plantas e aves aquáticas. Então nos refrescaremos com um belo mergulho na Torre Specchia e pedalaremos de volta a Lecce atravessando uma paisagem repleta de oliveiras e pequenos vilarejos.

Itinerário
Passaremos pela cidade medieval de Acaya, observando o castelo e sua muralha defensiva. Pararemos na praça principal para uma pausa "Caffé leccese" (café com gelo e calda de amêndoa).
Pedalamos por esta reserva natural bem preservada - onde você ficará embriagado pelo cheiro de eucalipto e outras plantas/árvores autóctones.
Se o tempo estiver bom, vamos parar aqui para um mergulho, para descansar nas horas mais quentes e comer o sanduíche que costumamos comprar em Acaya.
De volta aos trilhos, passando por algumas pequenas aldeias, como Vanze e Strudà, onde podemos fazer uma pausa. Percorrendo algumas estradas rurais, veremos oliveiras, reconhecíveis pelo tamanho e pelos troncos, verdadeiras obras de arte feitas pela natureza. Voltaremos a Lecce pelas ruas laterais entre as campanhas.

We were in Salento with friends in May 2025 and booked the tour Lecce-Otranto-Gallipoli-Lecce with Salento Bici Tour. 1 week of great weather, beautiful landscapes, good hotels and good atmosphere among the international participants. The booking, the communication, the electric bikes, the shuttle to Brindisi airport, everything perfect. We can recommend Salento Bici Tour!
Giulia from Salento Bici Tour did a fantastic job. We really enjoyed our trip through the countryside to the sea. She had interesting information to share about the area, kept a pace that was easy to follow and made sure we had adequate stops for breaks and refreshments. I highly recommend this tour.
when you meet special people by accident! I would call the experience with Carlo and his collaborators this. People passionate about their work, their land and meeting others. We agreed before our arrival in Puglia various trips and experiences (bicycles, kayaks, aperitifs, sailing, beach, etc.) because we were a large group with lively kids! Carlo's team satisfied us fully, giving a special flavor to this trip, like the figs tasted along the rides! If lying in the sun is not enough... I absolutely recommend it!
Beautiful experience. Carlo professional and very nice and his assistants really always ready to meet every need or whim of us customers. The places are great. We particularly enjoyed ride around Leuca. Tours also suitable for children. Highly recommended!
We did the tour with Giulia. It was just fantastic! A mix of culture, landscape and sympathy. Giulia accompanied us and presented your country step by step with real enthusiasm and enthusiasm in all facets. History, botany, gastronomy: a pleasant "full immersion" in the Salento region. I did the self guided tour. Good bike,well prepared and GPS worked really good. A nice route through Lecce city, the small vilages south of Lecce, the olive groves and to the see. Although, the olive groves are what is left of it, this because all the olive trees are dead caused by the bacteria.

Preparation, correctness and beauty of the places. We were able to reach the nature reserve along roads away from traffic and surrounded by nature. The visit was very nice with trained guides and refreshment attentive to my Food needs.
It was a perfect day to bike. Our inspiring guide Melo appeared to be an expert in nature and food. After a long ride in the suburbs of Lecce and the Cesine parc , we enjoyed a fantastic Picnic on the beach where Melo , chef in natural food, served us local dishes and great stories.
Cube woman bike and Scott.man bike. Scott was brand new. Both excellent quality, also for off road. We went to San Foca, some parts off road. Very nice lady giving advice. I would go there again.
