Esta é a melhor maneira de explorar Creta central com planaltos, caminhos antigos e vida selvagem. Nossa jornada começa no seu hotel, percorrendo as montanhas espetaculares de Creta. Reservatório da bacia de Aposelemis e um antigo aqueduto romano. A partir daqui, visitaremos a vila de Kastamonitsa, situada no sopé das montanhas Afendi, onde você experimentará o café da manhã ao estilo cretense e será apresentado a um produto local, Raki. Agora prepare-se para trilhas de terra, seguindo o caminho minóico que atravessa as montanhas, experimentando uma vida selvagem espetacular, paisagens inacreditáveis, mitologia, história e divirta-se vendo a natureza local da melhor forma possível. Aqui, no alto das montanhas, paramos no Mitato de um pastor, onde podemos alimentar os animais enquanto vemos os pastores produzirem queijo da maneira tradicional e antiquada e até provar essa iguaria fresca e rica. A próxima parada é uma vista panorâmica do planalto de Lassithi e da costa norte, uma excelente oportunidade fotográfica a não perder. Continuamos em direção à caverna de Diction, o local de nascimento de Zeus. Há uma taxa de entrada de 4 € e sapatos para caminhada são recomendados. Depois de aumentar o apetite, vamos almoçar em uma taberna local, onde você terá a oportunidade de experimentar uma seleção de entradas e pratos principais tradicionais locais (opção vegetariana disponível) e saborear um copo ou dois do vinho ilimitado! Uma vez refrescados, continuamos em Lassithi, visitando o parque Eco Lassinthos, onde é possível experimentar o artesanato tradicional e o estilo de vida local. Depois, no planalto de Lassithi, onde o tempo praticamente parou, as pessoas locais são principalmente agricultores. Vocês também verá muitos burros no trabalho. Em seguida, seguimos para Seli, onde mais uma vez temos a oportunidade de tirar fotos dessa paisagem única. Enquanto continuamos dirigindo, chegamos à vila de Krassi, famosa por um plátano de 2.000 anos e também com uma fonte natural de água da nascente. Saindo de Krassi, serpenteando pelas estradas da montanha e passando por algumas das muitas fazendas de oliveiras da ilha, você verá novamente o litoral espetacular e o profundo mar azul. Este é um dia cheio de muitas surpresas.

A really enjoyable trip exploring off the beaten track - the scenery was amazing & would have been inaccessible without the Land Rover. Darrel our guide was an excellent driver & had an amazing knowledge of the local flora & fauna & of Cretan history so we learnt a lot through. Lunch at a traditional taverna was also delicious & an authentic way to finish the day.

A beautiful day exploring the Lasithi plateau with a Guide who loves his job. Attention the entrance to the zeus cave is extra and is not included in the Award of the excursion. It’s also a shame that we came back an hour earlier than the time indicated by the person who sold us the tour. The Award is a little high. We still loved this trip.

It was amazing to be able to see the 'middle' of Crete........amazing mountains which are hidden just touring the highways surrounding this beautiful island. Fun to see the goats so accustomed to people. Christian was an excellent guide and really had to work explaining the sites to our group, both in French & English. Lunch was an amazing treat.... thoroughly enjoyed all of the local food!
