Great hike!!! We had medium weather but that worked to our advantage for the hike. The hike itself was pretty challenging but in a good way. Well worth the money and a great sense of accomplishment when you finish. Really glad me and my wife did it. High recommend if you’re looking for exercise and a way to see island.

Angela was knowledgable, kind, and safe guide! Be aware that it is a 12k moderate hike so bring plenty of water and lunch or snacks to have at lake or along way but do not pollute the water. It is for drinking at lake and prohibited to swim etc!

Great day, We have visited many interesting places on the island. Our guide shared his broad knowledge about the island, its history, customs and culture. We visited several sites and tasted traditional stew at a very reasonable price. I would strongly recommend.

Went on a hike today with Pedro to Lagoa do Fogo and had a great time. Pedro was very knowledgeable about nature and the surroundings while showing us all the best spots along the way. It was also great to hear about his experiences growing up on the island. Afterwards he took us over to Praia da Caloura where we saw the ocean. Gorgeous hike with great views, would recommend.

This hike to the lake offers stunning views and is a truly beautiful experience. The trail is moderately difficult, with some steep sections at the beginning, so proper hiking shoes are essential. I'd also recommend bringing a raincoat, just in case (we needed it). Our guide was friendly, and we were provided a lunch snack. However, I would have appreciated more time at the lake, as we felt rushed throughout the visit. One downside was that the tour started nearly 50 minutes late due to a delayed van, which was frustrating.

Diego was a nice guide, who gave us much information and looked after all participants. It was a two hour walk up to the lake, then a pick nick lunch and then two hours back. For me 1.5 hours on the beach could have been skipped.

Clara was a wonderful guide. She guided us to a beautiful viewpoint and gave interesting information about the nature and sights of the island (as well as the best place to eat ice cream).

Hugo was very good at explaining the flora and the fauna of the place, how it changed and was affected by foreign plants. The hike was around 12km, easy hike in the forest with last part outside it and usually exposed to gusty winds. We managed to see the lake as clouds were just above it. Recommend:)

Diogo was amazing!!!!! Sooo informative and so helpful. He went above and beyond. would 100% any tour with him again!!!!

Diogo was an excellent guide! From the hotel pickup to the trailhead, hike, lunch and back again, he not only gave us the history of the lake and surroundings he also documented our adventure with pictures and a GoPro video both above & below the water. A must see for any curious traveler, Diogo made our day memorable. Thank you
