First I will start out by saying the boat staff was AMAZING! The only problem for me regarding the tour was that there was no secure seating on the boat. The ride to the private island was EXTREMELY ROUGH (the captain did say the ride would be rough in the beginning) but I didn’t know what that would entail. The water was extremely choppy and people were being flung around. There were people falling all onto people (including me). I was seated upstairs because we were told that if you sit downstairs, you would probably get very very wet. A lot of people sat upstairs maybe because of that. My daughter and I were sitting on a cushion which sat on top of a plastic base and there was nothing to hold onto when the boat ride would become very very rough. Because people were being flung from side to side and the cushions were not secured to anything, the cushions would slide off with the people on them. There was one staff person will come around and he would try to adjust the cushions so that people weren’t just sitting on the plastic. So when he came around, I was sitting at the bottom part of the base at the end of one of the cushions. I had to get up for him to adjust the cushion and not long after I stood up, I was thrown into the front bottom of the boat and I ended up injuring my toe and bruising my shin. When I got home, I had my toe checked out and found out that it was broken. I would not recommend this tour. The boat company needs to make some adjustments to ensure passengers are not injured during the course of the trip. Hobbling around while on vacation with a broken toe is not a fun way to spend a vacation.
Had a great day. Great breakfast. Fine bbq lunch.
We booked this excursion on June 14, 2026, expecting the yacht experience that was advertised, including breakfast, lunch, and a relaxing day trip to Klein Curaçao. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different from what was promised and, in my opinion, raised serious safety concerns. The primary issue was the conduct and judgment of the captain. If I had known beforehand what kind of experience we would have, I would not have boarded the vessel. During what should have been a mandatory safety briefing, the captain failed to explain basic safety procedures or identify the location of life jackets. Instead, he focused on promoting an unlimited alcohol package, stating, "This is the cheapest place on the island to get sh**faced." This was hardly reassuring for passengers who were about to spend the day at sea. We understood that the crossing to Klein Island would be rough, and we were prepared for challenging sea conditions. However, it quickly became apparent that the captain was determined to be the first boat to arrive at the island. As a result, he pushed the vessel through rough seas at what appeared to be an unnecessarily aggressive speed. Passengers became violently seasick, with many vomiting. More concerning, seat cushions were ripped from their mounts, furniture broke, and passengers were being thrown around the deck. It was only after multiple passengers loudly demanded that he slow down and work with the swells rather than crashing through them that the situation improved. Upon arrival at the island, the captain informed us that breakfast would be served ashore because the boat's lounge area was occupied by sick passengers. However, no breakfast buffet was ever set up. Instead, a crew member eventually delivered an apple and a sandwich to passengers one at a time. Many of us waited more than two hours for food, significantly reducing our time to enjoy the island. The lack of communication and coordination between the captain and crew was evident throughout the day. The return trip was calmer, but this introduced another concern. The captain engaged the vessel's autopilot, left the helm, and spent much of the voyage serving drinks behind the bar. At one point, the captain's chair was only occupied by a young woman with whom he appeared to be socializing. As the demand for drinks increased, he began handing full bottles of hard liquor directly to passengers who were already visibly intoxicated. To be fair, I do not know the extent to which these tours are regulated in Curaçao, but the overall impression was that passenger safety was not a priority. Frankly, I was surprised that the vessel's owners would entrust their boat and their customers to someone who displayed such poor judgment and lack of maturity. While on the island, I spoke with several passengers who had traveled on other tour boats. None reported experiences similar to ours, which suggests that our experience was not representative of all operators serving Klein Island. I have photographs documenting several of these concerns, including the unattended captain's chair, the distribution of liquor bottles to intoxicated passengers, and the helm being occupied by someone other than the captain. In summary, I cannot recommend this excursion in its current form. Until there is a stronger emphasis on safety, professionalism, and captain selection, I would advise prospective customers to consider alternative operators. Given the experience we received, it is difficult to believe that we paid approximately $540 for this excursion.
We really enjoyed our experience to klein curaçao, the beach is beautiful and the light house was really cool to explore. The journey was fine for us, but we took seasickness medication beforehand. The boat itself was really nice and the provided meals were very good. The crew on the boat were so friendly, especially the captain, they made the experience extra special!!
Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The crew was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire trip. The island was absolutely beautiful, the BBQ lunch was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was amazing. One of the best experiences of our trip to Curaçao. Highly recommended!
Our experience was terrible It was terrifying, huge waves and no life jackets on the bow of the catamaran where they placed us The excursion was canceled I made a reservation with Klein Curacao trip and they did not send me a cancellation of my payment. I requested a receipt because it appears on my credit card statement and they are not responding.
We sincerely apologize for your experience and for the inconvenience caused during the trip. Due to the weather and sea conditions, the excursion had to be canceled for everyone’s safety after a short while after departure. Please note that we have canceled the trip and issued refunds to all guests who were on this tour. If you have not yet received your refund confirmation, please allow some time for the payment provider and your bank to process it or contact our office. Again, our apologies for the situation, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
All operators are great here, but this was by far the best experience. A very comfortable boat, food was fine, but what a fantastic crew! We were with several toddlers (ages 5-7) and the crew helped from a to z, to peeing during the outward journey (a bit wild outward journey) to swimming and playing in the sea, also the kids got an extra round with the small boat. They were extra observant when the kids were swimming. The boat was very spacious, plenty of place (with shade), multiple toilets and also an interior space with a large sofa and kitchen.
What a great experience! The wind made the outbound trip a little rough, but the crew handled it well. The boat was really nice, plenty of cover for sun protection. The Food was surprisingly good too. The uninhabited island was great to explore, trip to abandoned lighthouse and 2 shipwrecks, not to mention crystal clear water and great snorkeling. Great value for the money, and we had plenty of time there. This is a must do if you can get to Curacao.
Go to Klein Curacao Island with Golden SeaHorse: An simply exceptional experience! The crew was fantastic, attentive and very professional. The service on board was amazing, and we ate very well. The landing on the beach with the small boat was perfectly organized, everything was smooth and pleasant. On the beach, the bar, sun loungers and shaded areas allowed you to really relax and enjoy the moment. A memorable boat trip that I recommend without hesitation!
We loved the tour, only the dock facilities are too dirty, as is the bathroom... the boat in general is amazing, maybe the bathroom would be better if it had better hygiene , the Food is very good, although the ladies who serve the food seem to be giving it to you and serving it unwillingly.
