An unforgettable journey through some of Angola’s best landscapes! Etson was a wonderful guide: kind, communicative, and patient. From the delicious meal on the Kwanza river to the observation of zebras and elephants in Kissama Park, the tour felt perfectly designed. Its final step, a red sunset over the moon view-point, was an exquisite conclusion. Thank you!
I made the 11h tour of the Quiçama park, which included a tour on the river Kwanza, lunch and passage through the moon viewpoint. My guide was Etson. Super attentive, well disposed, cult and fun. It was a very well spent day. Unfortunately it was a day when the sky was covered and I didn’t see many animals in the natural park, but this is something the agency can’t control. I highly recommend Luzaya Turismo. Good quality price and effective service.
unless you want to see some trees there is close to zero wildlife . in addition the vehicles are so uncomfortable it ruins your trip
Hi, thank you so much for visiting Kissama National Park and for sharing We understand the ride can be bumpy — Kissama is a _free-roaming wildlife reserve_, so the animals move on their own territory. That makes spotting them a bit of a challenge… but it’s also what makes it a real safari experience. When an elephant steps out of the bush, it makes the search worth it About the vehicle: we use a high 4x4 truck to handle the dirt trails and give everyone an elevated, 360° view over the tall grass. We know it’s less cushioned than a normal car, but it’s the safest way to cover the terrain and spot animals from a distance.
A fantastic day trip with Etson, who was an excellent guide. The national park was very peaceful, sightings may not be as spectacular as other countries in Africa, but the experience is very raw and you will not be disturbed by other jeeps. Lovely boat ride down the river with a delicious lunch.
Excellent value for money. Antonio accompanied me, both discreet and very considerate. ON TOP! I highly recommend and if I have the opportunity to return to Angola, for sure I would do this safari again.
I work in safari travel, so have been around national parks in Africa. This is a nice national park, currently more heavy on flora, but hopefully in a few years more wildlife will return. Our guide was Eddie, who was incredibly knowledgeable. I'm so glad we had a guide like him on our first day in Angola as he gave us a proper insight into the country's history, culture, geography, etc... This was a lovely tour, the Kwanza boat ride is incredible as well, oh and not to mention lunch! Most delicious fish I had. Well done guys, this was a great tour!
I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. We saw many different animals ie gnus, elephants, impalas, and several I didn’t recognize. I especially enjoyed the lack of tourists and commercialization found in more famous parks. We then took a riverboat to our lunch. It was fun to see the people living along the river. The water hyacinths were in bloom and were simply beautiful. The tilapia was delicious. Then we took the river back and returned to Luanda.
Very cool experience with a very nice guide and driver. It am very happy from my day. I highly recommand!
I liked the tour very much, quite different, but the animals did not want to show up. Expectative is great in seeing some large size. Excellent lunch at Chilala and nice people in the group, including the guide Silana very polite and concerned with everyone. Driver well prepared and passed security.
The “safari” was more of a rough, loud and disappointing drive. The park was more of an overgrown jungle and the vehicle we road in was so old that several seats were broken. We saw kudu (which were incorrectly called springbok), a few deer and 1 elephant. Once we saw the elephant, the drive ended. The “safari” itself was not worth the time we spent driving to and from Luanda to the park.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that your safari experience did not meet your expectations. It’s true that safari experiences can vary: some days we’re lucky enough to see a variety of species, while other days may not yield the same results, especially in an open park. We apologize that the hours of driving didn’t feel worthwhile, and we recognize that the park needs more attention to enhance the visitor experience. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as it helps us strive for continuous improvement. Best regards, Luzaya team
