Captain Tim was AMAZING. He was so knowledgeable and we hit some great spots. lunch was so yummy! Well run and great teamwork by all staff!
Dave was the best! He did everything in his power to ensure we caught a fish and made the trip so memorable. We saw so many bald eagles, caught enough fish to eat, had so many laughs with Dave, and took the best photos. Thank you for making this trip so special Dave!! I hope we will be back!
David was a fabulous guide and was determined we were going to catch fish. He always had safety in mind as well as being patient and personable. My biggest surprise was the.” wilderness dining”… it was so much more than I expected. Highly recommend this adventure.
This adventure surpassed any expectations we had. We were fishing on the perfect day and we're very comfortable. David ensured we were at optimal fishing spots and had us change depths when needed. After we had our time to catch fish they brought us to a beach camp where they cooked it and made the best fish meal I have had so far. We saw many eagles while we were out. I loved everything about it.
Wow, what an amazing day with Captain David! David was extremely personable, knowledgeable and a great person! We fished with grandparents, parents and kids and he knew just the right amount of attention to provide to each group. His ability to find schools of fish and direct us to the right depth, location, etc. was great. We caught plenty of fish and then had an amazing lunch at the campsite. What an awesome time - would definitely repeat the tour next time we are in town.
What an amazing day fishing with Captain James! I am not an angler and was a little worried about spending a day in a boat. Glad I decided to join the tour. What an amazing day filled with fish, wildlife, and great food. It was about a 30 minute trip to our fishing spot, luckily it wasn’t raining or too cold. James knew exactly where to stop and find the fish. We catch so many fish and different kinds I stopped counting. We had eight people on our tour in two different boat. Once we were done fishing we headed to camp for an amazing lunch, I thought James was joking when he described the preparation. Five stars all around d. The best part were the eagles who followed us back into town. What a perfect Alaskan day on the water! A must if you visit Ketchikan!
So it was a great experience. First you get there and the gear you all up. They even printed out my fishing license so they had a paper copy of it. Once we're all geared up and all our rain gear and Boots got on the boat took off, went out to some fishing spots where we fished caught a bunch of different fish, mainly rockfish. Then we did some trolling and we caught one king salmon that we couldn't keep. And then we went to the dinner experience which was just awesome. There was a big campfire that hot chocolate coffee and then they cooked up our fish. It was really good. The base was good. The side of bread was good and then they even had dessert which was very good considering that we're just sitting out in the wilderness which is what really made it special cuz you're just on this little island in the woods with a small group of people around a campfire, enjoying the wilderness, the outdoors and the fish you caught.
My guide was friendly and experienced with lots of interestingfacts and stories. We caught plenty of fish. I really enjoyed the camp environment. The food was absolutely delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Bo Chaney did a great job on putting us on fish! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Exciting action, favorable views, making it an unforgettable experience.
We had a great time on our fishing excursion with Patrick. Ended up being just the 2 of us, fishing for rockfish. I am a beginner but my husband is experienced and Patrick was a great teacher and very patient with me. Our fish that we caught was then expertly cooked at the camp on an island - one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Overall a wonderful one of a kind experience in Ketchikan.
