Phenomenal last minute outing. We were in Delhi for work and took a few days to escape the winter air pollution of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. The care, communication, thoughtful planning by Shashi with Agora Voyages was exceptional. At Kaziranga, our naturalist/guide Mausam was knowledgeable and charismatic. He is part of a cohort of young well-trained and mentored guides selected from the local high school. Suresh, our jeep safari driver, gets the award for smooth overnight fix of the suspension, during Bihu festivities, no less. The suggested 7am start times are ideal, so ask the lodging resort to pack you breakfast on the go. No food allowed inside the reserve. Grass was high so no tiger in sight but plenty of elephant families eating, rhinos bathing and trotting, water buffalo roaming, swamp deer chilling, and others. Over 600 species of bird in the park so birders can go wild. Back at Guwahati we had a great day with Rupam our guide extraordinaire visiting temples and the great Brahmaputra riviera, and learning about the city and Assam in general. Lastly, Sailo, the driver to and from Kaziranga and then Guwahati, is a gem.

Dear Ms. Maria, Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted your Assam journey was so memorable and that our planning and team helped make it smooth and enjoyable. Mausam, Suresh, Rupam, and Sailo will all be so happy to hear your kind words — we’re truly proud of them. Kaziranga is always special, even when tigers stay hidden, and you described the wildlife experience beautifully. Thank you as well for sharing helpful tips for future travelers. We truly appreciate you choosing Agora Voyages and would love to welcome you back to explore more of India someday. Warm regards, Shashi Gupta & Team Agora Voyages
There are 4 ranges and all safaris start from 3400Rs minimum and can go upto 4500Rs per range by jeep. We went for the closest one Kohora range and we saw lot of Rhinos, deers and elephants. If you are lucky you might see a tiger but we didn't see any. There are around 3500 rhinos apparently in the area. They charge 100Rs per DSLR that you take.
Amazing, spritual . World wide people came here to make holly and spritual feelings. Here most popular and oldest city available.
Hotel Borgos was excellent - Well maintained, good rooms, nice evening with local dance troops. Dinner with wine was worth the evening. Early Morning catching a glimpse of rising sun on the back of the majestic elephant and coming close to swamp deer, wild buffalos, one horned Rhinoceros and beautiful birds was the ultimate. Day visit to the Orchid park having a fine collection of orchids, traditional collection of tribes, cactus garden, tree house, tea & dance of north-east was another good time spent.
Dear Guest, Thanks for review. Please send few photographs and authorize us to use same on our website. Kind regards, Shashi Gupta shashi@agoravoyages.com
