We had the most amazing experience! Our hosts Nish and Bikram were warm friendly and spoke terrific English! The kitchen is spotlessly clean and we were guided step by step through the process of making 3 different types of momos! No hesitation to give this the highest recommendation!
This Momo making class is a must do if you’re in Kathmandu. Hidden in the back streets of Thamal is a gorgeous cooking academy. Nish and Bikrom were amazing hosts and even better chefs! We have a whole recipe book to take back with us to keep recreating our Nepali recipes at home 😍
Amazing experience, the staff were so friendly and helpful, they made the cooking process fun and engaging. The activity itself was a blast, and the momos you make are delicious. The kitchen was very clean and there is a dining area where you get to enjoy your hard work after cooking! Great value for money and an impressive dish to take home to cook for your friends and family to show them a taste of Nepal. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone.
Very, very nice. The chefs present were very friendly and open, and the course was well prepared. Would laughingly recommend this to anyone who is even remotely interested in this. Excellent daytime activities!
Bikram and Nishma were super super lovely hosts and teachers. Bikram helped us to get the ingredients from a nearby market, while Nishma enthusiastically guided us through the whole process of cooking three dishes: chatamari, momo, and carrot halwa (which was my fav). Bikram was also involved in the cooking process, and both teachers really helped us to feel comfortable during the class. Thank you both!
Relaxed pace, cooked dishes we have been enjoying on our trip so far. Recommend not eating before you go or you won’t be able to finish it!
🍳🇳🇵 Today I attended a Nepalese cooking class with my cousin, where we learned how to make traditional momos. The class was quite short, lasting about one hour. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the venue, the friendly atmosphere, and the fact that the food tasted delicious. 💛 A few things could have made the experience even better. It would have been helpful if the instructor had explained each step more clearly throughout the class and introduced the ingredients and dish names before we started. I also would have enjoyed having different filling options to choose from instead of making only one type of momo. We didn't learn much about the history or traditions behind the food, and after cooking we were left to eat on our own while the instructor went to watch TV. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I enjoyed it, but it felt more like a cooking demonstration than a memorable cultural experience.
Since I set foot into the kitchen/office the staff were amazing. We went to the market for groceries and off we started our cooking. Nish and Bikram gently teach you how to do everything which made me feel very welcomed as an inexperienced “cook”. 100/10 would recommend this experience. I came as a guest and now I leave as a Nepali Home chef!
Excellent experience. So much fun
I loved the experience of cooking together and then eating what I cooked - the cooks were very friendly and the whole experience was great ! I went for a menu of Bara, Dal Bhat and Alger and it was very tasty
