Booked this tour with AAT Kings and had a great day out. It was a long day but well worth it. Left at 6.25am and returned around 8.30pm. The gorge was magnificent, a wonderful experience. You are on a schedule so the dinner at the pub is a bit rushed but other than that it was very good.
Dear Guest, It’s great to hear that you had such a memorable day exploring Katherine Gorge and Edith Falls. It is certainly a full day, but we’re pleased you felt the experience was well worth the journey and enjoyed the spectacular scenery at the gorge. We also appreciate your feedback about the timing of dinner. We understand that travelling on a set itinerary can make some stops feel a little rushed, and your comments are valuable to us. Thank you for choosing AAT Kings and for sharing your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another adventure in the Northern Territory! AAT Kings Team
Well organized excellent guide Very long day Ridiculous having to write a minimum of 100 Totally put me off writing a review Anyway on our tour who talked all the way there and back made it hard to hear what tge guide was saying didn't return to the bus at given times and we all had to wait for them
Dear Jenni, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you found the tour well organised and the guide excellent. We’re sorry to hear that the behaviour of other guests affected your experience, particularly when it made it difficult to hear the guide and resulted in delays to the group. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially on an already long day. We’ll share your comments with the relevant team as part of our ongoing review of the tour experience. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing AAT Kings.
This was a great day, Adelaide river cemetery, Edith Falls, Katherine Gorge and then back to Adelaide River pub for dinner. Even though it’s a long day there was so many highlights and Katherine Gorge was the Jewel. The stories from Matt our coach driver was fantastic and gave context along the way. Though loved the swim at Edith Falls, was surprised you don’t go under the falls themselves. Also could cut the breakfast stop in half and spend more time at the cemetery.
Dear Matt, It’s fantastic to hear that you had such an enjoyable day exploring the Top End! We’re glad you enjoyed the many highlights, especially the stunning Katherine Gorge, and that Matt’s stories and commentary added to the experience. We’re also pleased you had the opportunity to enjoy a swim at Edith Falls. We appreciate your suggestions regarding the time allocated at the breakfast stop and Adelaide River Cemetery, and we’ll pass these comments on to the relevant team. Thank you for choosing AAT Kings and for sharing such detailed feedback. We hope to see you again on another Northern Territory adventure!
Great day, tour guide Milo was fantastic. Nitmiluk Gorge is incredible and cruise tour guide Landon was awesome. but Edith Falls was underwhelming… would have been better to either have twice as much time there (so could swim or go for a walk) or skip it altogether. The narrative was detailed and informative however very heavily weighted to white history with almost no mention of indigenous culture.
Our trip to Katherine (Nitmiluk) was very interesting as our tour guide Mel explained many things about the people, areas and history along our travels. Our plunge into pretty Edith Falls was well worth it and very refreshing. Afterwards our boat ride through the calming passage of Katherine Gorge was very relaxing and our charming tour guide filled us with more knowledge about the Indigenous people and history of this sacred area. The trip was definitely a long day out but well worth it. A great experience.
Long 320km drive from Darwin, but totally worth it for the views. The Katherine Gorge boat cruise was the absolute highlight. Floating between those massive, ancient sandstone cliffs is breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to spot 3 crocs basking on the riverbanks. The scenic stop along the way to Leliyn-Edith Falls was beautiful. Thanks to Warren for a good overview of the itinerary and Milo for a safe and comfy ride. Next time, we would definitely take a heli-tour to see that incredible landscape from above.
A good day and a good tour, but, a long way to go there and back in one day. Next time would probably make it a combined two or theee night tour to Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine all together, to cut down on the back and for the hours in the bus. Tour itself was great with a good and helpful guide / driver - Ajay
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Ajay provided great service throughout the day. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future. Kind Regards, AAT Kings Team.
It was a very lovely day, long but worth it. Loved the boat trip, would have been nice to do the two George’s. But fully understand the damage the cyclone did only months before. Lunch was amazing. But we loved pulling into Adelaide river pub on the way home. Best meal and a lovely atmosphere. Well worth the money and the long day.
Dear Leanne, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so pleased to hear you found the experience rewarding and that the cruise, dining, and return stop were memorable highlights. We also appreciate your understanding of the recent cyclone's impact on the region. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future. Kind Regards, AAT Kings team.
Didn't start well as pick up never arrived as scheduled. After waiting 20 minutes beyond pick up time (6am) I had to contact operator to find out where the bus was. Was told sorry been delayed will be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later still no bus so had to call again. Bus eventually arrived 1hr late only for the driver to tell us the original bus was faulty so had to wait for replacement. This was understandable but total lack of communication and truthful information from operator. After finally getting on our way the trip itself was enjoyable. Lunch was included but this was not good. 2 members of our group have food allergies and was just advised you can't have this and that but no alternative was offered just make do with whatsoever else was available. Although we did enjoy the boat ride around the gorge, it was a very long day and don't think it is worth the cost.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delayed pick-up on the day of your tour. Unfortunately, an unexpected mechanical issue with the original coach required us to source a replacement vehicle before departure. While guest safety must always be our highest priority, we acknowledge that our communication regarding the delay could have been clearer and more accurate, and we are sorry for the frustration this caused. Despite the delayed departure, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour itself and the boat cruise through the gorge. Our operations team worked hard to ensure that no scheduled sightseeing or experiences were missed, although we understand that the later return made for a longer day than anticipated. We are also sorry to learn that the lunch arrangements did not adequately cater to members of your group with dietary requirements. We have shared your feedback with our catering partner to review their processes and ensure guests with dietary restrictions are provided with suitable alternatives whenever possible. Thank you again for your comments. Feedback such as yours helps us identify areas where we can improve both our communication and guest experience, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention.
Hat and insect repellant are a must. Neck pillow for comfort while in the bus. It's long day bus trip. No swimming was allowed due to crocodile was seen previously.
