great price and great inclusions and well organised highly recommend doing this trip if staying at River Kwai
This tour was excellent. Our guide Pompano (Nan) was lovely and took good care of us. The car and driver were very good and the air conditioning offered a welcomed reprieve from the searing afternoon heat. The tour was actioned packed. The first stop was the Hellfire Interpretive Centre which was extremely interesting and very moving, as was the walk through the Hellfire cutting. The audio guide was worth getting and listening to along the walk. The rest of the day was - visit Sai Yok Noi waterfall, lunch overlooking the river and the wooden bridge next to Krasae Cave, trip on a train back to Kanchanaburi, walk across the River Kwai railway bridge, a ride in a long boat along the river, and then a short trip in the car to the British and Dutch war cemetery. Really good value. Everything was very well organised from hotel pick up to drop off. Thank you.
Our tour guide, Pinki was great, had a lot of knowledge about the Hellfire Pass, building of the bridges and the war. When it was time for the train ride she got on the train and found us great seats for the trestle bridge crossing
This trip is a full day with so much packed in. From a walk through the museum site at Hellfire Pass to a fast longboat trip along the River Kwai it's absorbing and interesting. For such a variety of experiences you need a good guide, and our guide called O was exceptional. Her knowledge was second to none and combined with her excellent English we got a lot from the day. This was an excellent trip which we would thoroughly recommend.
We had a fabulous day with a bit of everything. Ricky and our driver Mr Lat? Were informative and funny and happy to go out of their way to show us around. Steve n Erin
Had an exciting day climbing to the top of the Erewan Falls trying to keep up with our excellent guide Nanny.Be warned its hard work and you should have suitable footwear, but it's worth the effort. There was plenty of Thai food for lunch.Hellfire Pass was a sobering look at a grim past. Then a short ride on the train to Wampo before the mini van back to town.A full days experience highly recommended. Just don't let it rain :)
