O Mosteiro de São Jorge de St. Nino, também chamado Mosteiro de Bodbe, é um dos locais religiosos mais importantes da região de Kakheti. Agora, há um convento onde o mosteiro costumava estar junto com a Catedral de São Jorge, parte do mosteiro, que guarda os restos mortais de São Nino, que levou o cristianismo à Geórgia.
A cidade possui muralha do século XIII. Wall tem 21 torres, todas nomeadas para a vila ou cidade no final da estrada que passa por cada portão. A pequena parte é acessível para caminhadas e vistas para o Vale Alazani.
Na própria cidade, visitaremos o museu Signagi, que mostra as obras de Niko Pirosmani. Niko Pirosmani é famoso pintor georgiano, ele nasceu na vila perto de Signagi. Também daremos um passeio pelas belas ruas da cidade velha.
No final da viagem, visitaremos a vinícola e provaremos 10 sorta de vinho

We booked this private tour through Temo - a representative of “ Holiday.me “ We were picked up at 10am and reached the Bodbe monastery after nearly 2 hours.The view from the monastery is nice but the monastery is under renovation. Later we drove to see the 18th century defence wall and tower. We then drove to Signagi the city of love having nice architecture and 18th century houses. Our driver and guide, Shoto did not provide us any information on the tour, Signagi city or the Museum. We drove to Kakheti to visi a wine storage and bottling plant. Temo had agreed to show the wine making process in this tour which we found later that it could be seen only in autumn. Therefore, we just had degustation which we could have experienced in Tbilisi instead of traveling so long!!! During this visit we were given no explanation on the history and Culture of Georgia relevant to these places.
Going to Kakheti is an extraordinary journey. We made the transfer in our own car. I can recommend this car as a great means of transportation for tourists.You can take advantage of this offer. We visited Tsinandali- estate of Ilya Chavchavadze. It's a fabulous place. To be there is to take with you extraordinary experiences.Next visited Bodbe and Signaki. In Signaki, the Nico Pirosmani Museum. The journey was beautiful. And back to Tbilisi they returned in a comfortable car, with wonderful experiences.
