Don't get me a wrong, going to a game at Maracana is iconic, and you should def go if you are in Brazil, however, this tour is not what it advertises. It literally is a bus ride picking you up at your hotel, walking you to your seats, and providing a bus ride back to your hotel. There was no talk on the way to the stadium (despite passing major landmarks like the Sambadrome), no history or information provided about the stadium, games, teams competing, the guide sits with his friends during the game and so you learn nothing about the fans chanting etc, and then you meet up and get a ride back to your hotel. If you look up how much these games cost you are paying WAY more for a ride there and back. This tour is not what is advertised - it's transportation only.
Does anyone want to look deeper into this? Here’s a detailed resource I found helpful: https://www.worldcuplivescores.com/
The noise etc made by the home fans was brilliant - Leo our guide was a very good tour leader and kept an eye out for all 20 in the group
Great experience. Everything from transportation to getting in and out of the stadium was fantastic. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable sharing facts along the way. This is a great way for tourists to experience the local tradition of a futbol game.
Great experience! Everything was well organized, and the transport made it very easy and stress-free. Our guide was friendly and shared interesting insights about Brazilian football culture. The stadium atmosphere was incredible and truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for any football fan visiting Rio!
Super fun experience… was told it was not the safest area and we had people looking out for us whom were on tours. It was very nice and much appreciated! It was our first love futbol game and we enjoyed the competitiveness. Our tour guide was super nice!

The vibe at the local soccer match in Rio was electrifying unlike anything we've ever experienced! The locals were so passionate, they didn’t sit down once during the match. As a soccer fan, experiencing a game outside of New Zealand, especially in Rio, was a memory we’ll never forget. 100% recommend this experience for anyone looking to feel the true energy of the sport!
As a football fan you really should consider this trip . We got lucky as it was the night that Flamengo won the league. Don’t be concerned about security you are with the guide all of the way and with a security escort near the stadium. The atmosphere was like nothing I have experienced in England , seats on the half way line .. a memory for life

Tickets to watch football games & tours with transfers are available at various prices on various websites. The Americans said they paid about $60 for the same tour, and I paid about 12,000 per person (about $75). Travel to and from the pickup point on your own. Individual hotel transfers are more expensive. There were some descriptions that required the game to be sold out, but each match was very different. It was the end of the season and there was nothing hanging in the balance between Fluminense and Mirassou, so 16,000 spectators, 70,000 for the derby the following week. It was fun to drive to and from the stadium because football lovers come from all over the world. The stadium is peaceful. It's so bleak out there, I think it's good to have a drop-off.
This is an experience not to be missed, even if you are not a football fan. We were picked up in a modern coach and got to the stadium in time for the match, Our host was wonderful (but disappointed that his team lost). There was a wonderful atmosphere inside the stadium, though be prepared to be searched upon entry.
