Jason and his crew are outstanding guides. His 29 years of experience on the river guiding tours is a key difference maker and he operates the only Costa Rican boat on the river (all other are foreign owned). I would HIGHLY recommend only considering Jason Crocodile tours.
True Costa Rican that will expose himself to show you the best experience, much more fun than the rest of the tours, highly recommended
Jason is an incredibly charismatic guide who made the tour entertaining and educational. You get to see so many crocodiles and other fauna up close while always being safe. The crocodiles actively show up for Jason compared to other tours. Absolutely recommend this tour for anyone visiting!!!!
Me and my wife when on the tour with Jason and had the most surreal experience, living in California we got to experience something we would never see back at home. The crocodiles were massive and beautiful to see in person, literal dinosaurs. Jason was very knowledgeable and kind, his passion for his job and interacting with the animals is great. He gave us memories that will last a lifetime, I would highly recommend booking this tour!

This was an excellent trip with a very knowledgeable and immersive guide. Jason tour is one of the only tours by a Costa Rican company and you could tell that he knew much more that a foreign tour company would. I would highly recommend his tour for anyone wanting to take a Tarcoles River crocodile tour!
This is the only Costa Rican tour group! We saw many crocodiles, species of birds, monkeys! Jason is a great guide and very knowledgeable of the river life in his country! Would highly recommend!
Jason is an awesome guide. Up close and personal meeting with Tornado, the alpha on the river. Exceeded all expectations! Only locally owned and operated crocodile tour in Costa Rica.

We booked this trip for 2 reasons - the size of the boat (we knew it was going to be a more personal tour) and the photos of Jason up close and personal. AFTER we went on this tour I have about 5 reasons to book it again next time we go!! Jason is insanely knowledgeable as he has grown up on this river and has been doing this for 20 years. The coolest part is that the crocs recognize his boat and he gets OUT of the boat and interacts with them - we watched other tour boats have way too many people on them to even get the intimate tour we got (same time, cheaper then most tours AND way better from what we could see with the other boats) - give back to an ACTUAL Costa Rican company and book Jason, you won't be disappointed!!!
