O Museu Berbere, inaugurado em 2011 sob o Alto Patrocínio de Sua Majestade Mohammed VI, Rei de Marrocos, está instalado no antigo ateliê de pintura do artista Jacques Majorelle. Apresenta um panorama da extraordinária criatividade dos berberes (Imazighen).

O Museu Berbere, inaugurado em 2011 sob o Alto Patrocínio de Sua Majestade Mohammed VI, Rei de Marrocos, está instalado no antigo ateliê de pintura do artista Jacques Majorelle. Apresenta um panorama da extraordinária criatividade dos berberes (Imazighen), o povo mais antigo do Norte de África. Mais de 600 objetos, coletados desde as montanhas Rif até o Saara por Pierre Bergé e Yves Saint Laurent, atestam a riqueza e a diversidade desta cultura vibrante, que ainda hoje está muito viva.

A little bit underwhelmed on the whole. Quality of the garden was good but without the YSL attachment I would consider the admission fee to be excessive. I expected a few acres of greenery. The Berber Museum was interesting but far too dark to fully comprehend. I know it's dark to prevent deterioration of exhibits but there's a happy medium /visitors enjoyment. YSL Museum was exceptionally well laid out and would probably appeal more to fashion students interested in his development.

Majorelle Garden and museums are must see. So beautiful and refined. Pick-up by a driver avoids having to negotiate with taxis that are on the lookout nearby.
