Este monumento é retratado na forma de duas pessoas, consistindo de um jovem e uma jovem dando boas-vindas. Nas mãos da jovem é visto segurando um arranjo de flores, destinado a dar boas-vindas. Localizado no centro de Jacarta e um dos marcos mais famosos e reconhecidos da cidade de Jacarta.
A Praça Merdeka é um ponto focal para a cidade de Jacarta, que possui muitos edifícios governamentais, como o escritório do ministério, o escritório presidencial e até o marco de Jacarta (Monumento Nacional), localizado no meio da praça Merdeka.
Visite o Monumento Nacional que fica no meio da Praça Merdeka é um monumento de 132 metros de altura com uma chama folheada a ouro no topo, simbolizando a independência da nação. Este é um dos destaques da cidade de Jacarta. O porão do monumento abriga uma exposição de 48 dioramas que retratam a história da Indonésia desde os tempos pré-históricos até o presente. (Todas as segundas-feiras, o Monumento Nacional está fechado. Você só pode visitar a área externa do monumento).
Localizada em Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, a Catedral construída em estilo gótico data de 1891. Possui uma torre alta com janelas altas decoradas com pinturas em vidro. Dentro da igreja há 3 altares que juntos formam um semicírculo. Ele também tem um belo altar antigo que reflete o som como uma concha.
A Mesquita Istiqlal em Jacarta, na Indonésia, é a maior mesquita do Sudeste Asiático e a sexta maior mesquita do mundo em termos de capacidade de fiéis. Istiqlal, que significa “Independência” em árabe. Localizada no centro da cidade, quase em frente à Catedral Nacional, a Mesquita também pretende ser um símbolo de paz e tolerância religiosa. Nota: a mesquita Istiqlal está fechada todas as sextas-feiras.

The guide Fajar was excellent, very knowledgeable on the history of Indonesia, also Indah a new tour guide who provided a lot of good information too. This was a private tour and the driver Bobo was always waiting to pick us up when finished at a site. Each site we stopped at was great and historical, highly recommend this tour.

This half day visit to the highlights in Jakarta was very well organised. The tour agency and the assigned guide were very responsive. The visit started punctually. Catherine is very knowledgeable on the history of Indonesia, and on the specifics related to the sites we visited. We got to see the Istiqal Mosque, the Catholic Cathedral, the National Monument and museum, parta of the old town including a traditional puppet making workshop and the harbor. She is a good communicator and explains things very eloquently. She has a great sense of humour.

My son and I really enjoyed the tour. Pinkan was a great guide, knowledgeable and articulate. She answered all pur questions well and was such a pleasing and patient lady. She wss happily offering to take our pictures as well. We had the car all to ourselves. Our travel also effciently navigated through the streets of Jakarta and we never really to wait long for him.

During business trip from the U.S., first time in Indonesia, I went on a half-day Jakarta tour with the highly knowledgeable guide Thomas. It was a highly enjoyable and informative tour, we covered all major sites including independence square, national museum, main cathedral, world’s 3rd largest mosque, old town and port, even the shadow puppet theater and a historic Batavia Cafe. I learned a tremendous amount from Thomas, the narrative was fun, a new air conditioned car was skillfully driven by driver Andy, and I had time and help buying souvenirs and trying local coffee and amazing pastries (yuzu meringue is my favorite). Thomas took excellent pictures of me that I sent to my kids. This was a memorable experience that made me feel like a local, and got me to appreciate Jakarta and its warm, welcoming people. I highly recommend this tour to travelers interested in experiencing Jakarta’s hidden gems and spending enjoyable four hours without strenuous walking or riding public transport in the heat.

Rizky was extremely knowledgeable in sharing Indonesia history and the highlights in Jakarta. Given the busy traffic and heat, it was delightful to have an air-conditioned vehicle and private driver to go to the various sites. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
