So this is a very truthful review. Me and a family Member went for my birthday last year in July 25. The experience I had then was very different to this time around unfortunately. It seemed like last years food in the oceanbird lounge was way better along with cocktails. It was all cold cuts am no warm food like last time they brought hamburger sliders/chicken burgers etc. the staff were friendly but seemed different, like they were fed up? The dancefloor experience in 25 I enjoyed I could watch the show no problem and it was very good. This year I was distracted by security coming in front of me every 2 minutes which therefore distracted me (I understand they have a job to do but they should instantly remove people on phones etc instead of bringing them back in only for them to do it again) The sound this year was LOUD? I couldn’t even hear the band sing ? Just the bass and instruments. And they left out loads of good ABBA songs. All in all it was good Last year but not as amazing this year.
On the way home I asked myself did I enjoy it and the answer was yes but… Four years after it opened, I think you can see how the technology begins to look dated, people’s expectations of AI and such like have developed so much in that short period that it is probably less of a “wow” than when it premiered. The sound quality was bad. The answer seemed to be to make it so loud with a high base that people wouldn’t realise. The live band did a number on their own which was good. The light show was good, and I suspect it was to divert attention from the holograms. I found the holograms, though very clever, looked artificially small and out of proportion with their position on stage (distance from audience). The large screen side screens were better. The cartoon sequence was out of place and seemed to be a filler. The movements of the avatars were slow, which might be due to a limitation in the image renditioning system, and I think this limited the choice of songs. It really should have been all their hits and not songs that people did not know. I found it odd to applaud avatars after a song and ultimately found it soulless -it was really a good light show with ABBA music.
Great show, it was well organised, had an amazing laser show & the sound quality was fantastic, well worth visiting.
First off my Viator bar code wouldn’t work so we had to wait in three different long lines! The concert was far, far too loud for normal people. The bass was so loud it resonated throughout our bodies. When leaving early they offered earplugs. They should be offered ear plugs upon entering the arena. THE CONCERT SHOULD COME WITH A WARNING!!!!! I’ve been to other loud concerts. This was much louder making it impossible for us to enjoy. Of course, some people weren’t bothered.
I ordered the tickets from the website, paid and gave email as requested and no tickets were sent by return as promised. A total of con and would not recommend booking via website.
Fantastic show and experience is this the future I think so could have stayed and seen the entire abba back catalogue loved the experience would definitely recommend
This was an incredible experience. Not sure what we signed up for but love the music. While there was a lot of standing, swaying and singing Ali g, we were grateful we bought tickets assigned to seats.
It's physically inexplicable to me how this works. Absolutely lifelike! You always look for mistakes.....except for a missing shadow on stage I actually noticed NOTHING fake. Absolutely worth it!
Easy access to venue from Pudding Mill Lane Tube (DLR) - it's literally across the road. There is a bar outside the venue, as well as inside but the menu options are fairly limited in both places to burgers, fries, loaded fries. Really great atmosphere - with lots of people choosing to dress up / add sparkles! We had seated tickets and the view was not compromised. Fabulous show overall - loud, with lights and large screens so you don;t miss the action on stage. I would definitely recommend it - but perhaps without taking my 84 year old parents next time!! Even my husband (who is not an ABBA fan) enjoyed the experience and was fascinated by the technology and light show!
As an ABBA fan, this is a MUST. I was now on the 4th. Once on the show and would go in another 100 times. Gigantic, after a minute you think they're really on stage. The live band plays the songs as perfectly as on record! I hope that the show will soon go to Germany, hopefully BERLIN, then you don't have to travel to London. Anyone visiting London should also go in here! Thank you for the Music !!!
