We learned so much about astronomy and had the opportunity to discover the incredible night sky of Arequipa. A special thank you to our guide, Gabriel, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about astronomy. He made the experience even more enjoyable and engaging. I highly recommend visiting Stellarium, especially if you are interested in astronomy or simply want to experience something different during your stay in Arequipa. I didn't know that there was something like this in Arequipa. I went to the observatory and I loved it. The guide explains things very well; you can tell they have passion. Looking through the telescope and having them tell you stories about the stars is an experience you have to live. The planetarium is also very nice; I found the video quite comfortable and interesting. My only advice for future visitors: go prepared to keep quiet. There were families talking quite a bit during the show, and that took away a bit of the magic. But other than that, definitely recommended. It is different from everything else touristy in Arequipa. Tip: Arrive on time and bring a jacket because it is cold at the observatory.

An amazing experience that I would absolutely recommend. We went at 7:30pm, which meant that we had the chance that we could still see Venus. Our guide Gabriel explained the different phenomena very clearly, and always helped us identifying them in the telescope. Plus, since the observatory is right in the historic center and the visit is only an hour, we didn't have to plan much travel time to fit this in our day.

You arrive and are placed in a waiting area. Then you will see a short video with English subtitles that are not clear at all and not readable at all in the short time. In addition, they also try to bribe people who have posted bad reviews.
