Excellent tour, fantastic tour, great guides. Trekking on ice is an amazing experience, well equipped (don't forget the gloves because the ice cuts). Mandatory use of Crampons that are provided. The boat trip, the walk in the forest and the walk on the “passerelas” allow you to take amazing photos of Perito Moreno and above all enjoy this fantastic glacier. Unmissable. What went wrong and could have been even worse: NAUTILUS VIAJES. We were never able to talk to them (phone and email without answer), no one knew them and Viator was not the intended help. After several hours talking to several local agencies we found out that our reservation was in fact made with a local agency (Hielo e Aventura - fantastic and super professional agency that ended up giving us the 5* tour), but it had not been confirmed by such a ghost agency! After that, Viator informs us that our tour had been cancelled... this at 8 p.m. the day before. We physically went to Hielo e Aventura and tried to pay for a new tour with them, and only at this point the “ghost company” communicates with me and says that everything was confirmed and that it had been a big mess of Viator! But now I had to confirm again and with a higher value (and in pounds - from 500€ went to about 680&) An authentic horror film with a happy ending. These companies have to be banned from Viator and therefore these evaluations and complaints are essential. Advice: always confirm your pick-up a few days before and find out the local agency involved, since there are often these intermediary companies that only charge commissions but do not help at all. Be wary of tours with few reviews and something old.
We left to book a day early, unfortunately they had no place with transfer, but we solved with a remis that takes us to not miss the opportunity. The expedition begins with the journey on the south side of the glacier, and disembarks. Everything is impressive but walking along the glacier gives you an incredible perspective on the immensity, dimension or enormity of the Glacier. If you arrived in El Calafate, take your time and organize your trip with this activity in mind
The tour is amazing! But the Nautilus Travel Agency is the worst crap I've ever seen, they give the worst Customer Service, they take time to answer and they have no idea about the information and they also give wrong information. I recommend you to go but buy them directly from the Enterprise that makes the tour, Ice and Adventure, plus it will be much cheaper.
Hola Santiago, lamento tu experiencia. Saludos
Wonderful experience with great tour company and tour guide. Best Glacier trekking ever! Must do in El Calafate!
A unique experience to live, we did it as a family with the Enterprise ice and adventure, I thought it was the only one but here I saw comments that another one does too. We hired her with transfer because we didn't have a car yet and it's 80 km to get there, I take time because I'm getting people in all the accommodations so we started early. We left in a full mic to a port, then we were crossed by catamaran boat short trip, take food and water because there is no catamaran or place. After the crossing you go to a shelter and from there they separate into small groups, walk on land for a while and then you go up to the ice. Excellent everything, the step, the experience, the coordinator, the guide explaining in the micro everything about the place, a layer. The end of the ride see that you get chopped by the ice in front of you and put in a glass, amazing, hahaha. In all walks I always recommend gloves, hat, jackets, necks and everything to be able to take it out onion type because you are hot and cold in all walks. It's a demanding thing, it's not for everyone either big people or people with walking problems. On the way back you eat what you took in the shelter and return to the boat for a stop on the catwalks, a while nothing more so if you can return to the catwalks another day spend more time
More amazing experience. Too beautiful, wonderful feeling! Worth every penny , every physical effort . Unforgettable
It is a different tour, especially for us Brazilians!! Walking on the snow is amazing!! And think you've been there ever!! It's not hard!!
It was the best thing we did in El Calafate!!! Really an unforgettable experience, we were a group of 14 (all family), with Ramiro, mountain guide who took us all the way. More than we expected from this excursion. From the views, photos, contact with the glacier and landscape, they have no waste!! It's worth the money they charge you without hesitation!!
It's what you can't stop doing if you come to the caulk! All very good vibes, it is advisable to go on the first shift very early, it is worth a lot. They are small groups and the experience is unique
It's an amazing experience. We contract with Patagonia Chic but all agencies offer the same. The excursion is transfer to the glacier with guide, navigation on the south side to the refuge where the guides of the hike are placed us helmet equipment, gloves and grapes. Groups of about 15 or 20 people are formed with two very good guides and walk around 1.30 hs on the glacier. We were always very careful and the guides besides knowing were very friendly. In the end they offer a glass of whiskey with ice from the glacier. It's the closest you can get to this wonder. Then you go back to the shelter to use the toilets and eat by shopping there or carrying scallop and there are many tables and seats with an amazing view of the glacier. The walk is quite simple but it costs a little so it is up to 65 years. The visit ends with an hour to see the glacier from the walkways
