We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Gyeongju lead by Joy. She was knowledgeable, flexible and fun. Her explanations of history, culture as well as her command of English were excellent and she accommodated our needs of coffee and lunch (milmyeon for a hot day). We had so much fun with her.
Mimi was an amazing guide! She provided us with lots of information, a personalized tour, and we had a really excellent lunch at her recommendation. She takes great photos for us too. She also recommended a nice place for dinner for us. It's clear how much she loves her country. Highly recommend this tour and Mimi specifically!! The Gyeongju tour was filled with amazing history and we learned a lot!
If you're visiting Busan or Gyeongju and have the opportunity to tour with BK, don't hesitate. He will completely transform your experience! Last year, BK guided our family through Busan, and we enjoyed our time with him so much that when we returned to South Korea this year, he was the first person we contacted to take us around Gyeongju. It was one of the best decisions we made. BK's knowledge of Korean history, culture, and local life is truly remarkable. Gyeongju is filled with incredible historical sites, but without his insight, storytelling, and passion for sharing his country, we never would have experienced them in the same way. He brought each location to life, helping us understand not just what we were seeing, but why it mattered. His ability to weave history and culture together made every stop meaningful and memorable. What makes BK exceptional, however, goes far beyond his knowledge. He is kind, adaptable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure his guests have the best possible experience. He effortlessly adjusted to our family's interests and pace, making every day feel relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable. One of our favorite parts of touring with BK was simply spending time with him and eating together. We had wonderful conversations about Korean history and culture, but also about everyday life, family, and countless other topics. By the end of our time together, BK no longer felt like a tour guide, he felt like a brother. The best way to describe him is as your local relative who knows all the history, all the hidden gems, and all the stories that bring a place to life. The memories we made in Gyeongju are some of the highlights of our trip, and they would not have been the same without BK. His warmth, expertise, and friendship made our experience truly special. We are incredibly grateful for the time we spent together and cannot recommend him highly enough. If we are fortunate enough to return to South Korea again, BK will be our first call.
Mimi was a great guide, very knowledgeable and funny. She really knows her stuff. The pick up was right on time and she showed us all the good spots for pictures. All in all, great vale for the money.
Where do we even begin. This tour was the true definition of attentiveness and attention to every detail. From our hotel pickup, Mimi was right on time, and throughout the entire tour she was incredibly sweet and answered every single one of our questions. Gyeongju is truly remarkable, and I highly suggest for people to book this specific tour.
Jake is our guide. He not only speaks good English, he is also very knowledgeable about the history of Korea. As he explained the historical events, I felt as if I had gone back in time to the Silla dynasty. Jake made it easy to understand the connections between different historical events and their implications. Thank you so much Jake!
Jake was our guide. He speaks very good English and exhibited in-depth knowledge of Korean History. Through his sharing, we learnt a lot about the Silla dynasty. Jake not only shared historical facts with us but also made the necessary connections across different eras and historical events. This helped us better understand the connections and intricate connections leading to key events in the Silla dynasty. Jake was also very kind and attentive to our son. It was a memorable experience especially for our first trip to Korea. Thank you Jake!
Jino was great. He was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend him and his tour.
We had a great trip, very well organised. We were picked up from our hotel in Busan, saw all the beautiful places in and around Gyeongju that we hoped to see with some additional stops including the lovely Ahopsan bamboo forest, then dropped at the train station to catch a train up to Seoul that night. BK organised it extremely well and even booked the train tickets for us as soon as they became available. Anthony was very flexible and helpful, spoke excellent English and made sure everything went smoothly and comfortably. Highly recommend this tour.
Joy was an amazing guide. She really helped bring the past to life for us and our children. I was concerned the kids wouldn’t be able to make it through the tour, but she did a great job of balancing history and fun and took us to really interactive places.
