The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a great, inexpensive way to get around Cork and learn about the city at the same time. It gives you a good preview of the different sights and helps you decide which places you want to spend more time exploring. The open-top bus was comfortable and made for a relaxing ride with great views of the city. The best part is the convenience—you can jump off at any stop that interests you, take your time exploring, and then simply catch the next bus when you're ready to continue. A very affordable, easy, and enjoyable way to see Cork, especially if it's your first visit. Definitely worth doing!
Quite a few poor reviews on here but our experience was very good. Dead on schedule, commentary clear and very well enhanced by the humorously dry contributions of the driver. We do these bus tours everywhere we go an this ranks with the best of them.
Really difficult to find pick up points - they just aren’t marked like pretty much everywhere else in the world. A lot of sitting around doing nothing, no commentary, nothing interesting to see. Just bland all around.
Good over view of the city, especially nice to use this bus to get to some sites a little farther out.
So disappointed with this. Obvious problem with the audio. Kept fading and when it came back on it didn't match where we were! We do the city bus everywhere we visit, sometimes twice. This was a total waste of money!
The concept sounds good but unfortunately if you are there on a busy day, the traffic will slow the bus to a crawl.
One of the best hop on/off tours we have done. A great way to get an overview of Cork and then decide which attractions to go back to visit. If you don't like walking up hills this is a good way to visit the Gaol and Shandon Bells. The prerecorded commentary was enhanced by the drivers own information and comments. (Lady with an English accent). A lovely experience.
This was a comfortable and very informative trip around the inner city and some outskirts. The tour guide/ driver was hilarious and reallyl gave us a good laugh as well as good information, I think her name was Ann. Her humour has helped me remember the information.
