Wonderful guide that spoke good English and very knowledgeable about the foods we tried. This was our third food tour on our trip and cost twice as much as the others. We did feel a bit rushed and unlike our other tours, no Sani wipes were available, guide was touching our food. We learned later that there are many free food and other tours available and you only pay what you want.

We are truly sorry to hear that you felt disappointed, but we would like to clarify some points for future guests reading this review: Pricing: Our tour price is clearly listed on TripAdvisor and is in fact lower than many other food tours in Hoi An. We never charge more than the published rate. Cleanliness: Every stop on our tour provides wet tissues or wipes, as cleanliness and comfort are very important to us. Food preparation: When your husband found it difficult to roll the bánh xèo, I kindly offered to demonstrate at his request. This is a normal part of the cooking experience and always done with permission. “Free tours”: There are no free food tours in Hoi An. All professional tours here have set prices, as local families, guides, and restaurants must be fairly paid for their service. We take pride in providing a high-quality, authentic experience. Until now, we have been honored to receive many 5-star reviews from our guests who appreciated both our food knowledge and hospitality. Our tour guide, Mr. Hoang, came on time (early) to meet and greet us. He was very accommodating to our small group to keep track of the time and pace while traveling with our toddler in a stroller. We enjoyed hearing the history of the many different local foods eaten and the restaurant owner stories to get a glimpse of life in Hoi An before and after the tourism boom. We also got to visit the lantern bridge and heavy touristy area for sightseeing. The tour didn't include any food tasting areas here since most of the restaurants are tourist traps and we skipped 1 dessert/snack area because we were full. Note that there was quite a bit of walking in this trip and some of which in traffic-busy roads, so bring good walking shoes and an umbrella in case it rains.

Out tour guide Hahn was amazing and was very knowledgeable and explained to us all about the different types of foods. There was not one dish we didn’t enjoy, such an authentic experience and highly recommended
An enjoyable and learning experience. A touch of real life! The guest and his family are great and on the top if it the food we learned to cook under their supervision and the food we have tasted was excellent. An experience we definitely recommend to everybody.
We had an incredible experience on our night walking street food tour. It was really fantastic… From the beginning till the end… Hoang was our guide and we couldn't have asked for a more kind person to guide us through our evening. He was very knowledgeable and can speake english very well, Thanks to him, we learned so much about the food, the people, and the customs. The meals and experiences he took us on were all top class, with local food that was an amazing gastronomic journey. We would recommend this tour for any foodie visiting Hoi An; and probably do it on your first day/night in town so you know the spots to hit during the rest of your stay. HOI AN STREET FOOD TOUR WITH HOANG We were lucky enough to have a private afternoon food tour with Hoang. WOW, what a great tour, I honestly haven't eaten so much on a food tour ever, we were food drunk by the last stop. We experienced so many tasty dishes. Our tour consisted of visiting around six locations and each one was DELICIOUS. We were obsessed with the white rose dumplings, the cao lau, banh mi, rice pancakes and BBQ, the coffee and more…We loved exploring Hoi An right away and learning about it through the eyes of a local. Hoang really helped us get a lay of the land on the tour and we recommend it for anyone, but especially on your first day if possible.
Picked up at hotel on time by Mr Hoang who had excellent English and knowledge of the area. We asked him to customise our trip to try some new items (best snails ever!) and he adapted the tour brilliantly. We had already sampled some of the dishes over the lay days in Vietnam but in every case the stalls and cafes selected offered consistently better results - super impressed well done and thanks
What a lovely evening in Hoi An ,Absolutely brilliant experience with our guide, Mr Hoang who was so informative and strolling through the streets of Hoi An, stopping to eat delicious food and drinks,( We had banh mi, cao lau, chicken rice, spring rolls, white Rose, and Wonton…) listening to his stories and knowledge of the local area, has been a highlight of our whole trip to Vietnam. It is brilliant value for money . I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is visiting Hoi An. Please do it on the first day of HOI AN Trip - you won’t regret it. Thank you!

A great food tour around the streets of Hoi An. Our tour guide was Tai and he was very knowledgeable about the food and culture in Hoi An. I especially loved the Banh Beo which was hidden away in a little restaurant just outside the main town!!! A little hidden gem if you ask me. I would recommend taking this tour. We did a tour in Hanoi and the foods we had on that tour were very different to this one. Its a great way to sample lots of different types of Vietnamese foods to see what you like but to be honest, it was all delicious. They will also tailor the tour depending on dietary requirements.
