There are one person boat drivers that operate as scammers. They let you ride first and state the overpriced fees, at that point you are hostage because you can’t get off the boat mid-way. They nudged you for TIP not once but will poke your wallet and scream in your face TIP several times half way. No Manner, No English. Simply unpleasant. Avoid at all cost. Smelly, dirty, swamp unkempt boatmen, there is nothing to see here and ride at your own peril.

From getting to the coconut boats our whole experience was fantastic. We were met with drinks and an explanation of how the day would go by the owner who spoke great english. First he showed us how to make beautiful fabric lanterns step by step which are also collapsible so that we can take home in suitcase! Amazing a good fun too. Then we had a drink and onto the coconut boats which was absolutely blooming fantastic! Our rower was great fun he had everyone singing They supply hats and life belts we took loads photos along the way through the coconut forest, then out into the open for spinning where the spinners offer rides for 100,000 VD (£2) On route back we went into the bushes in the boat to crab fish with little rods. The whole time was just fun from start to end. I would 100% recommend if you are in Hoi An this is the best experience 😊

BEST EXPERIENCE IN TJE WORLD The boat riders have the most friendly personality and the experience was one of a lifetime. We then went to the restaurant where they have the best coconut water ever - so fresh. Bound to sing Gangham Style with all the boat riders which was so atmospheric.

Just an average boat ride This is over hyped and over priced Plus they keep asking for tips for every little thing !!

Excellent experience from start to finish with stops along the way for photos, crab fishing and rowing the boat ourselves.

The earlier you go the better - officially our experience was 8-10 but at the recommendation of the organiser, we went 7.30-9.30am. It was already hot but the river wasn’t too busy. The boat guides worked hard to keep you entertained and our children enjoyed the spinning and crabbing!
