I would recommend this cooking class when you’re in Hoi An. The cooking class included several things, a tour around the village, welcome drinks, foot massage and the cooking class. The guides were really nice & friendly as well giving instructions that were easy tk follow. Our food turned out really well and they were really nice to forward us the recipes. Highly recommend cooking the “fish cooked in claypot”, it’s our favourite dish and will definitely cooking this when we’re back home!
This is an address not to be missed. The people are wonderful and very kind. You have a very good time there.
This activity was a highlight in our recent visit to Vietnam. I would happily do it again and strongly recommend it. Hung was an incredible host, providing seamless door-to-door transport and a fascinating look into local life at the market. After a peaceful coconut boat ride through the foliage, complete with some 'catch-and-release' crab fishing and some high-energy boat spinning, we began the real highlight: the cooking. What sets this tour apart is the ability to customise your menu. We chose Rice Pancake with Pork and Mushrooms, Banana Flower Salad with Green Papaya and Green Mango, Fresh Steamed Rice Rolls with Mushroom and Pork, Caramelised Fish cooked in Claypot and Stir Fried Chicken with Lemongrass and Chilli. So delicious! The fish melted in your mouth. The fresh steamed rice paper was so interesting to prepare (and then eat). The stir fry was full of flavour. The salad complemented the dishes. In fact – all the dishes were delicious! Hung was a master multitasker and instructor; under his guidance, we prepared what was honestly one of the best meals of our entire holiday. Highly recommended!
I booked a cooking class and it was a great experience with the local chefs that runs the restaurant. Thuy was a great teacher, all the ingredients are fresh and good quality. At the end we enjoy the food we cooked. I really recommend if you want to have a cooking experience in vietnam!
We loved the cooking class! It was so much fun, lovely guidance and tasteful meals!
Thank you so much Marijn for joining a cooking class with us. Many thanks also for leaving a wonderful review for us. We wish you a great journey in Viet Nam. Best regards. Hung
We had a fab time doing the cooking class with our two young girls (two and five). The team were very accomodating of young kids and the food was delish!
Such a brilliant day, would highly recommend. Hung and his team were fantastic and so accommodating. We made some lovely dishes and enjoyed learning all about the fresh produce from the market. The boat trip was a huge bonus. Thank you so much.
First Hung picked us up and we went on a banana boat ride through the Water Coconut Forest. It was beautiful and lots of fun. Our enthusiastic boat captains, paddled while singing Vietnamese football songs and made us jewellery out of bamboo leaves. Then Hung took us to the local market, where we shopped for the fruit and veg that we would cook and learnt lots about foods we’d never seen before. Next we were taught how to cook a delicious Vietnamese meal by infinitely patient and knowledgeable local lady chefs. Our 11 year old daughter loved the whole experience and was so proud of the yummy fried spring rolls that she produced. Our food was SO nice and it was great to learn how to create it all as a family. We had such a fun experience and can’t recommend Hung and his team enough. If we came back to Vietnam, we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful cooking class. The staff was very lovable and competent. The food was easy to prepare and super delicious.
My hubby and i stumbled upon this place and booked directly. It had a walking garden tour to explain the different herbs used in Vietnamese cooking. Then we cooked the dishes we picked. Our teacher was nice and funny. Taught us well and we could take home the leftovers from our dishes as well as the recipes. If you want to learn and make vietnamese dishes at home, try this experience, away from the usual youtube tutorial for the experience.
