So cool ! Yea I am a long time LOTR reader and to see the sets in such detail was fantastic! The sharing with family members who had never read or seen the movies ( yes there are those people!) was fun. To see the fun in other peoples eyes as well was great

We are visitors from Washington, D.C. and had an amazing experience on the Hobbiton Movie Set tour at Alexander Farm. Our guide, Aaron, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He gave clear explanations during the comfortable ride from Auckland and made everyone feel welcome. The team provided water, granola, and phone chargers, which was thoughtful. Once at Hobbiton, we had two and a half hours to explore, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. The tour was smooth and well organized, including a light lunch afterward. Yes indeed we loved to be picked up and driven by Aaron. It takes 2hrs to the set from Auckland. He was the best, in many ways. He made us comfortable and on top of what to expect. Clearly we enjoyed being on the set of Hobbiton very much. Aaron made it happen by driving well with just enough music and history. Thanks!!
