Castel di Salve é uma das vinícolas históricas da Puglia, fundada em 1885 em Depressa por Antonio Winspeare, Duque de Salve com o objetivo de produzir vinhos de mesa de qualidade. Agora a vinícola é administrada pela 4ª e 5ª geração da família Winspeare. Fortes e orgulhosos da tradição dos antepassados, continuamos ainda hoje a trabalhar a mesma terra, para produzir vinhos de carácter, ao mesmo tempo limpos e elegantes. A maior parte do nosso trabalho agrícola ocorre na histórica propriedade familiar "Masseria Bosco Belvedere", localizada no centro geográfico do baixo Salento. O foco está nas uvas nativas de Salento, como Verdeca, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera di Lecce e Primitivo. Além disso, também cultivamos outro pequeno vinhedo em Depressa e outros locais no baixo Salento, num total de cerca de 31 hectares de vinhedos.

Great experience and very original wines
Excellent experience, highly recommend for anyone in the Southern Puglia region on holiday. Our host Lujan was very knowledgeable and a wonderful host.
We enjoyed an informative tour and beautiful lunch with the proprietors of Castel di Salve Winery. This is a small, family owned winery with a 150 year old pedigree. They produce classic wines from mostly estate grown varieties found in southern Italy, and more specifically, the Puglia/Salento area. If you are a wine lover, like us, and want to expand your knowledge and appreciation of these lesser known grape varieties and the terroir they grown in, we highly recommend you visit.

After a friendly reception by one of the hostesses we were professionally guided through the authentic winery, estates and wine cellar. After the tour we were offered an extensive wine tasting of various types of wines. We really enjoyed and also got to learn a lot about the diversity of wines and their origin. Thank you!
The tour was interesting and the wines were quite good, particularly their Lama del Tenente. Easily the best wine we tasted in Salento. Commentary from the owner added a lot of interesting information and entertainment. A tour not to be missed!
We came to Puglia to learn and taste the wine, and Riccardo delivered with this experience. Wonderful tour of the winery, learning about the family generations that have developed the business, and finishing with a fabulous tasting.
