Alfama não é apenas um dos bairros mais antigos e pitorescos de Lisboa, mas também foi um dos únicos bairros, que não foi destruído no terremoto de 1755. E assim, a cidade ainda manteve seu charme familiar pitoresco. Na verdade, o apelido deste bairro vem do árabe ‘Al-hamma’ que significa ‘fonteiras quentes’ ou ‘banhos’. Decorados em belos “azulejos”, os ícones sinuosos deste bairro dão lugar a vistas deslumbrantes de um mar de telhados de terracota e do rio Tejo. Os aromas da cozinha tradicional Português, os ecos das músicas de Fado, e os moradores Português mais velhos conversando, tornam este bairro um dos mais autênticos de Lisboa! Nosso passeio começa em Rossio e passa por algumas áreas-chave antes de ir para o coração de Alfama, onde você também fará uma parada no Miradouro Portas do Sol, antes de terminar o passeio na catedral.

El Castillo de San Jorge é um castelo histórico na capital portuguesa de Lisboa, localizado na paróquia de Santa Maria Maior. A ocupação humana da colina do castelo remonta a pelo menos VIII aC. C., embora as primeiras fortificações construídas datem do século I aC.

Jack was a superb guide, albeit a bit shaky on guitar legends from his hometown. He started with a very helpful introduction and went on from there to cover just about everything we wanted to know in 2.5 hours. It was a long hot climb but the stop for the excellent pastel de nata and the benelyn like ginga were well judged. We got a lot out of it. We followed up on several of his suggestions and they worked
