The history of the castle was interesting. Tour guide was very good. Short distance from Montalcino. Nice wine tasting. If you have extra time in Montalcino, I would recommend it. However, if you are on a short time table, there are many winetasting events downtown Montalcino.
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review and for making our estate a part of your Tuscan itinerary! We are so glad that you enjoyed diving into the history of our castle. Our guides are deeply passionate about bringing the estate's past to life, and it is wonderful to know their expertise stood out during your visit. Being located just a stone's throw from the center of Montalcino, we love offering a convenient yet immersive escape into the countryside where guests can relax and savor the complex notes of our signature Brunello vintages. We truly appreciate your recommendation for fellow travelers looking to enrich their time in the area. It would be an honor to raise another glass with you the next time you find yourself exploring the beautiful hills of Tuscany.
This tour was very disappointing. The tour started fifteen minutes later due to a group of 9 people who were still to come. In the end, they weren't there. They seemed a little messy. The snacks at the tasting were 2 dry breadsticks. The most expensive wine was tasty, but would sell much better with a piece of cheese or something. The Brunello they sell is also cheaper in the Netherlands.
We had a great experience at the winery. Our guide was very informative about the history of the castle, the surrounding vineyard, as well as the harvesting and fermenting process. He made an effort to answer every question asked of him from members of our group. The sit-down wine tasting at the end wih cheese was a good finish.
A very average tour at best. Lots of background information on the castle, but the guide had little knowledge of wine apart from learned script, and virtually no information was given on production, quality and complexity of the wines. The wine tasting was extremely rushed and not professional in the least. An extremely disappoiting experience.
The tour was excellent due to the rich history of Castillo Tricerchi and huge thanks to the guide, Alice who was fantastic! The wine tasting was geld in a historic room of the castle that added even more charm to the excellent Brunello Tricerchi.
I’m sure that the tasting would been very good, but we canceled because it would have taken us over two hours by bus to get there. It is advertised as though you can take the train but there is no train going there.
Simple, rustic setting in an authentic, producing winery. Very personal experience. A great 1.5hr outing.
The visit was very good with lots of information and a wonderful tasting at the end. The winery is beautiful and the castle brings even greater charm.
A very informative half-hour tour in a great setting. Unfortunately, the tasting was very brief with a few crackers and only three wines, each with a volume of around 30-40ml.
Interesting castle history although tour was short due to pouring rain. Wine tasting was great. The castle dog Nana was cute and got a lot of attention off everyone.
