Fortaleza Hisor, Tour de um dia

I had a good experience and my guide was very passionate and informative. With that being said it is a very quick visit and I think it is very over priced for what you receive. I would recommend you to visit on your own.

This was a total waste of time and money. The guy who picked us up at our hotel spoke virtually no English and couldn’t answer any of our questions. He was more interested in talking with the driver (who spoke NO English). When we got to the site he turned us over to another guy, who was apparently our guide. He spoke some English but wasn’t able to answer many of our questions. He was very perfunctory, didn’t care about what we wanted to see or know. He clearly wanted to rush us through to get rid of us. Then he deserted us at the back end of the monument - having spent maybe 30 minutes with us. Then we went to lunch with the first “guide” and the driver, who sat with us at the table but didn’t interact with us. The driver shoveled down his meal and then disappeared. Apparently he went back to the car to wait for us, but that was never made clear. What was billed as a 6-hour tour turned out to be a 4-hour tour - false advertising? VERY disappointing - we feel like we were scammed.

Beautiful day. Everything organized perfectly. The Hayat guide and driver proved very professional. The choice of restaurant for lunch was also great. The fortress of Hisar is definitely worth a visit. Very well preserved. It's impressive.

We wanted to visit the fortress but not spend an entire day out and about. This itinerary was perfect. We were picked up at our hotel and transferred to the fortress. Our guide, Bruiel was very informative telling us a great deal about the city and the country in route. Once there we were handed off to a guide specific to the Hissor Fortress. He was also well informed and showed a true pleasure in showing us around. Following the tour we headed back to Dushanbe and a lunch typical of the area. All very nice.

The fortress is worth seeing albeit you can't enter the building. As the last reviewer commented, this is a very short tour. I spent an hour at the fortress and that includes the museum visit at a leisurely pace. You don't need a tour operator for this: it's a very safe place with lots of families visiting. Take a taxi from Dushanbe and back (30 minute drive each way): your hotel can arrange one. There is a great English-speaking guide at the museum who can give you a tour of the museum and also the fortress. The guide tour company did not speak conversational English anyway.

This company provided the worst representation and misleading information of the Hisor Fortress Tour that they try to advertise in TripAdvisor/Viator. First of all, it was not a one-day, 6 hour, tour like they claimed. Our tour started with a pick up at the hotel at 9am, but we were on our way back by 1058am. Second, air conditioned vehicle was never provided. As a matter of fact, the vehicle used was so old that the seat leather was already peeling off. Windows were opened the whole time, and it was so bad that we felt so unsafe. Third, do not believe the description of the itinerary they provide to TripAdvisor/Viator as it was the biggest lie ever! There was nothing to see at Hisor Fortress that would require more than 2 hours of your time. And the Watermelon Teahouse has been closed for a while, therefore there’s really no point of adding another one hour to that schedule if they will just stop for a couple of pictures outside the facility. Everything about this company and their guide was a total disaster!!! We truly believe that it was meant to deceive the public to reserve the tour and pay the enormous amount of $140 per person.

This experience was the favorite thing my group of westerners did in Dushanbe. Everything from booking the experience, to pick up and drop off, transportation, translation of the museum tour, and lunch was smooth and easy. Qiyomiddin loves his country and communicated so much history and culture to us that it made this experience priceless. I highly recommend booking an experience through Bunyod-Tour and I will do so again when I am back in Tajikistan.

This was a great tour of Hisor Fortress outside Dushanbe. The car was very comfortable and took less than 30 minutes to reach the fortress. The guide explained a lot of history of Tajikistan and was very polite and accommodating. At the fortress, another guide explained the location, history and size of the fort and showed me the ancient relics in the museum. I highly recommend this tour for people interested in history.

We went to hisor Fortress trip and gusgurf waterfall with this company guide name hashmatullah was great guide and so the driver was. We had two wonderful days and enjoy most the time although I believe both tours were very expensive but guide was Very friendly helpful and made both tours comfortable. You can go to hisor Fortress by yourself for return trip around 40 to 50 dollers for two people if you hire own taxi where we paid $ 150 for 3 hours tour and for gusgurf waterfall we paid $170 dollars. But anyways we had good time in Tajikistan in our stay if you have opportunity please visit this kind and guest full country.
