A comprehensive tour of the city with a very humorous and fun guide. I loved her wit but her jokes might not be for everyone. If you hate boring tours that repeat the same information, this is what you should go for!
This walk covers a large part of the city center, so you will not need anything else for the day. The guide gives valuable suggestions for activities to do after the tour or in the following days. She also recommended to us restaurants with local and international cuisine. Loved it!
This tour is great for solo travelers because it is in a small group, so I could interact with our guide and ask all questions I wanted. We also had enough time to take photos and the pace was easy. Five stars from me!
I booked the tour with my American best friend, and we found it great value. What we loved where the details and the way that Nicolette brought the history of Vienna to life. It gave us a good understanding of Vienna and we would surely love to return to the city asap!
Despite Viator’s stellar track record for a variety of tours we have taken while traveling abroad, this one is getting 2-stars and that’s being charitable. The two reasons for the 2-star rating is because the link in Viator’s app for the meeting place was not accurate so we were waiting at the incorrect place. I then had to call the guide (several times while incurring charges with my US cellular carrier) who was incredibly rude on the phone and was not very helpful with instructions on where to meet up with the group at their first stop. I would mention her name but she didn’t even introduce herself once we arrived with the group not anytime throughout the 3-hour tour. And the group only had 8 guests, including my wife and I, so plenty of opportunities to be cordial and welcoming to the group. If I were Viator, I would remove her from the lineup ASAP as she was a horrible representation of the caliber of guides typical offered on the tours.
Dear customer After your complain we have doublechecked what happened on our end. On the website there is a link to the meeting point and one to the end point of the tour. It has happened in the past that very few guests click on the end point of the tour and for this reason they go to the false location. Your guide called you at your American number with no response, since it was turned off. You called our guide from an Italian number and she gave you instructions to walk to the Saint Stevens Cathedral to find the rest of the group. The guide cannot delay all the group because you could not find the location- you are responsible for finding the meeting place and be there on time. The introduction to the group is done at the beginning of the tour and when you joined it the guide was already telling information to the guests, so she kept on with the tour normally. We cannot really understand your frustration since the guide answered you and indicated the meeting point!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. We would have preferred some type of seating at the start location, but otherwise very enjoyable and memorable.

This tour with a Greek host (Nicoletta?) was very informative and fun. She really explained a lot of history while having a great sense of humor. We made many stops. It was worthwhile to help get a better sense of direction around Vienna. We felt much better after taking the tour in finding places we wanted to see. We highly recommend her and this tour.
