In retrospect I wish I had taken advantage of a tour that focuses entirely on the beauty and unique sites and aspects of the Highlands rather than including a distillery tour that can be taken in the city.
Our hotel Ibis Styles was a 5 minute walk to the bus station for the tour. Rabbies team checked you in and our guide Jack, welcomed us and off we went! Jack's knowledge of Scotlands history, areas and stories were educational and entertaining! Every site we visited was great and our Whisky tasting tour, a favorite of all!
It’s a fun way to see some of the Highlands and get a whiskey tour in as well! Our tour guide was nice, just felt like a lot of driving.
My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Sean Gordon. He was friendly, passionate about Scotland’s history and geology, funny, considerate and punctual. The van was very nice, but my only complaint is, as a plus sized person (16-18), the seatbelt fit fine but then had very little give which got uncomfortable for me after a a few hours. For people larger than me, they did have seatbelt extenders on hand.
I am not a whisky/whiskey drinker really but this tour appealed to me for the scenery (and because it wasn't 12-13 hours in length). The tour departed on time and it was just one couple and myself. The best part of the tour was our guide, Sean Gordon. He apparently was a history teacher and I think he said also that he has expertise in geology. His wealth of knowledge was really something and I'm so glad we ended up with him as our guide!!! Sean is very personable, an excellent driver, and really has so much insight on a variety of topics (and is rather well traveled himself). The tour was varied, ran very smoothly, and I'm glad that I booked it. Perhaps a wee bit more time in the two villages we stopped at would have been nice but we still got a "taste" of them. I did find a Harris Tweed 'baker's cap' that I had been wanting (20 GBP cheaper than in Edinburgh) during the brief Dunkheld stop and got some great pics of the bridge crossing River Tay there, too. I did not participate in the Dewar's tour though the facility was nice. I mostly stayed outside and enjoyed the perfect weather, since we had just had lunch in the village not long before arriving at the Dewar's stop. I tipped Sean handsomely 20GBP) as he really was the best part of the tour...Well done, Rabbies. I hope to take another tour with you in the future.
Ian Gordon was a knowledgeable, personable and interesting guide. Enjoyed the trip very much.
Beautiful scenic views of the Scotland countryside. Fun , lively driver who entertained with amusing stories
Wendy was such a fun tour guide and she made the trip very interesting and comfortable. Love the highlands. It was a great way to get a taste of the area, but will want to go back to certain parts to spend more time!
Great day trip out of Edinburgh. Sean was extremely knowledgeable about the area and Scottish culture. His passion truly showed.
Craig rocks he has a great storyteller personality I loved listening
