Horseback Ride in the Jungle with Cenote swim. Loved it.

We loved the horsebacking riding and cenote swim! It was awesome. We got picked up right from our house and were driven to the site. The horses were great and our tour guide CJ was friendly, fun and informative. The swim in the cenote was refreshing and just the right amount of spooky. We loved it. Would highly recommend.

Cenote and Horseback tour

We had so much fun! We were the only group doing the cenote and horseback riding so our guide, Javier, really let us customize how we spent our time. He was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had about the area and then some! It is a pretty long excursion including transportation so make sure you have a good breakfast before you go! The bugs are pretty intense so bring bug spray with you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re really happy to hear that you had such a great time and that Javier made the tour so special by adapting it to your group’s pace and interests. His knowledge of the area is something we’re very proud of, and we’re glad he could answer all your questions along the way. We also appreciate the helpful tips for future travelers — a good breakfast and bug spray definitely make the day more comfortable. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

Mixed experience

The cenote experience was excellent. Loved adventuring into the underground cave! The horse riding was disappointing though. The activity description implied we would ride out to the cenote. In reality, we went to the cenote and then rode up and down a road.

Yes!! As you saw it, the road to the Cenote is not suitable for riding a Hirse through it, we care about your safe and Horse's. We hope to see you soon in your next Adventour!!

Cenotes by horseback!

We had such a great time on this excursion! It started a little late from our pick up time from the hotel but once we arrived we had a great time. Our tour guide Fernando was awesome and the tour was informative. The horseback ride was fun and the horses were ready to trot and even canter if you wanted. My only qualm was the saddle wasn’t great and rubbed my inner legs raw. Be sure to bring a bottle of bug sprays unless you enjoy mosquito bites. The jungle was beautiful and we saw lot of butterflies and birds. Once we arrived at the cenotes the tour was awesome. Was really cool to tour them and was so refreshing. After we rode back to camp and ate a hardy authentic Mexican lunch. Bring money for beers. Also you must be patient for the bus back. Over we had an awesome day!!

Cenote tour is a MUST!!

The Cenote adventure with our guide Eddie was the most amazing experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable and great with my 2 kids. Being in the Cenote and swimming through the stalactites was unforgettable. The horseback riding was a little disappointing as it was just along the same road the ATVs use. Was hoping for more of a small path through jungle. The company was flexible when a horse was a bit wild and would not let my father ride so he got an ATV (just not the experience we had expected). Overall! Amazing day and the lunch that was cooked for us in the jungle was amazing - nice to get a break from resort food!

Horse riding in the jungle and cenote experience

One to one cenote experience with knowledgeable guide. Didn't expect to have so much time swimming and learning about Mayan beliefs

A nice and memorable way to spend a morning.

We had a great time. We were picked up at our hotel and there was another pickup on the way, our van was full. We were let out at the business office on the side of the highway and were separated into groups. My party was put into another van and driven down a long bumpy dirt road to the staging area. We had an opportunity to use the bathroom, it was not a pleasant bathroom but at least it was flush and not a pit. We were given helmets and hair nets. I was concerned at booking about the well-being of the horses but when we arrived the horses appeared well taken care of and happy. We spent 5 minutes interacting with our assigned horse to build a small relationship. Most of the staff speaks english, the guide for my horse didn't speak any english though so it made for some awkward time as each horse has a guide/handler walking beside it, but the jungle was beautiful and sometimes the horses decided to walk side by side so I could talk to the other rider. Groups of ATVs kept passing us on the path but the horses were used to it and just moved to the side of the trail to make room. The horses were so well behaved and knew exactly what to do that we would have been fine with one guide on a horse and going at a slightly quicker pace but I understand that they can't know if customers know how to ride at all and they want to make sure no one misuses the horses. On the way back the horses knew they were going home and the ride was a little faster but not quite a trot, more of a hustle. The stirrups were not adjustable and were a little to long for me so my legs were straight and that was uncomfortable on my hips but also not that big of a deal as the ride was only about 20 minutes each way. The area around the cenote has restrooms, potable water, changing rooms, lockers and "Mexican Walmart" if you want to buy some souvenirs. They made sure that we were aware of the shopping but without any pressure. You take a cold shower and are given a life jacket before you go to the cenote. There are quite a few steps down but spaced well so it didn't feel as bad as it looks in the pictures. The cenote water was cold (they called it refreshing lol) but not as cold as some cenotes I've visited. For the cenote we had a different guide, he was really young but polite and helpful. He told us about the cenote with confidence, authority and maybe some made-up or misunderstood facts. Since some of the older guides were teasing him for being so young (lightheartedly) they might have given him some information that sounded plausible but weren't exactly true, as a joke. He helped us through all the tight spaces and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. There were no lights, everything was left natural and you carry a small flashlight. If you are uncomfortable in small, dark, close places this is NOT the tour for you. Lots of little fishes and bats and we saw one small catfish. It felt unsettling at times but not frightening. When we got to the back room we were quiet for a moment to hear the silence. I really enjoyed it. After the cenote I rinsed off in the shower and this time it didn't feel cold lol. We got dressed and rode back to the main area. They gave us a small lunch, lemonade is included. They were clear and upfront about anything that cost extra (like beer and soda) and gave the price in dollars for us. We had a chance to do some more gift shopping and then chill out in hammocks until our shuttle was ready.
