Na chegada à Mona, um membro da nossa equipe irá recebê-lo para uma rápida recepção seguida de uma exploração autoguiada do museu. Sube para o The Source Restaurant para uma degustação de cinco vinhos Moorilla e Domaine A de destaque, fluindo diretamente para um menu de almoço relaxado de três pratos com dois dos seus vinhos favoritos da degustação, além de uma bebida quente. Uma vez terminado com o almoço, seu tempo é seu novamente, sinta-se livre para dirigir de volta para o museu ou explorar o terreno, incluindo música ao vivo nos gramados antes de sua ferry de regresso às 17:00 para Hobart. MONA is one of those experiences that is hard to describe. You just need to go. But if you are heading there with a toddler, here is the honest picture. The ferry trip over from Brooke Street Pier is a highlight in itself, possibly more for the kids than the museum itself. The MONA Roma is a beautifully designed vessel and the views on the way are fantastic. MONA was not designed for toddlers, and it shows. Our daughter loved certain exhibits and walked straight past others. You are not going to slowly wander every gallery with a small child. What works is tag-teaming. One adult explores while the other keeps the little one engaged, then swap. Also worth knowing: some sections have confronting content that is not appropriate for young children. Easy to navigate around once you know it is there. Where MONA wins for families is at the end. There is a playground on site that our daughter made a beeline for the moment she spotted it. The slides looked incredible. I was more excited about them than she was, as it turned out. 4 out of 5 for families. Worth the trip, worth the ferry, worth adjusting your expectations. Not a toddler museum, but a great day out if you go in with a flexible plan.
Disappointing and underwhelming art.
The Museum was very interactive... not so much for children.. the additional installation was a surreal experience... The Moorilla wine tasting and the Source 3 course meal was satisfying..
We thought the art was atrocious and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. It’s one person’s bad taste with the money to do what he wants. Totally overrated.
The art was very fascinating and cool but also controversial. Not very kid friendly. Some of the food is great but some is very odd. Ferry ride is nice
