I visited NYC with my mom for the first time mid-May, and this ghost tour with Susan as our guide was a perfect addition to our chaotic itinerary! Susan was incredibly friendly, as well as enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the locations included in the standard tour. My mom still can't stop talking about what we learned. There were about 8 of us in my group, and Susan took time to connect with each of us as we walked between sites. If I could go back in time, I would've bought the extended tour tickets. Last note...get my girl a lantern! Washington Square Park is too busy to place the pressure of finding your guide and vice versa on someone without a noticeable tell.
Our guide was a no show. However, there was another guide providing a private tour who managed to have us included. His name is Matt Paris, and I would give him five stars, but there fact that no guide was there for us and customer service was a complete run around and didn’t resolve anything. Suffice it to say, Matt saved the evening and did a great job.
Really enjoyed our tour with the lovely Joel. So informative and for someone who lacks concentration, he never lost me once. Loved every minute of the tour and want to say a big THANK YOU for your time. Vikki & Martin xx
Our guide spent way too much time on jarring digressions about his personal life. We were there to hear spooky stories. I wish we'd had a more focussed guide.
Marcus was an excellent tour guide- knowledgeable about the subject matter with a bit of humor! Highly recommend his tour!
We tried to be patient but after 30 minutes of talking about bland history with no mention of ghosts, then another 30 that was meandering, not interestingly told and hard to hear with our big group we decide to give up and leave early. I’ve maybe written one other nageyive review in my life, try to focus on the positive, but felt I should share so they’d know to look for other NYC ghosts tours. The reviews were good and we were looking forward to this part of our Oct trip.
Robert went above and beyond and had an amazing depth of knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the tour. Highly recommend!!
Amazing tour! Trevor was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating history about local ghost sightings and hauntings.
The tour takes place in the Greenwich Village area (Washington Square Park and surrounding area). I had a very thorough tour guide who not only discussed local hauntings in the area but also some of the history of the area, including the historical background of the places constitutions haunted. Tour guide was friendly which made it easy to ask questions about the sites visited. The walk is about 1-1 1/2 hours and is of difficulty: Easy - no hills and no stairs to climb.
I had a horrible experience on the tour. The tour guide was unprofessional and was very sloppy; he showed up in dirty clothes and was very proud of it. He was even showing off his dirty shirt and mentioned that it was stained from his spaghetti dinner the night before. At first, my group and I felt some sympathy for him when he talked about his wife passing away several years ago, but he couldn’t get through a single story without bringing her up again and again. Additionally, he made inappropriate comments towards other members of the group. Overall, this was a complete waste of money, and I deeply regret spending my one night in New York on this tour. I attempted to reach out to the tour company before posting this review because I felt bad about it. I waited to see if anyone would contact me, but no one did. As a result, I felt compelled to write this comment.
