This tour was very informative, in a comfortable, air-conditioned grayline mini bus - on a hot, humid day. I learned a lot about the history of the city and about many of the churches and mansions. I highly recommend this tour and our tour guide (even though I don't remember his name.)

Good historical tour with live narration. We missed the tour (and were quickly rebooked), the pick up point is not on the street with the address on the wall, it’s in the bus area associated with the visitors bldg. we googled the address, stood there and saw the bus leave. That’s how we figured it out.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Michael was great. Highly recommend!
We were excited to get out of the heat for the 90 minute tour. Some interesting facts were shared including architectural history. Also a good discussion and explanation of the different neighborhoods was worthwhile. What was missing however was a discussion of the history of slavery including the fact that 40% of all the slave trade was through Charleston. No mention of the stately urban plantations being built on the backs of slaves. Other than a mention of the “slave culture” and utility out buildings including “slave houses” there was no insight into the full history of Charleston. Nor did we see the location of the slave markets or ports for slave ships. It would have been interesting to also hear about the important civil rights actions in the city.
Very informative and enjoyable tour of Charleston along with interesting historic info about the houses and founders of Charleston. The driver was funny and engaging.
Outstanding tour, very interesting , informative in a very entertaining way Laughed and learned the whole time
Guide had an encyclopedic knowledge of the history and architecture of Charleston which was impressive but delivered it without any real spark. Pickup location very convenient and well set up. Bus seats weren’t very comfortable. I’d look for hop on/off option next time but was a great way to see a lot in a short visit.
We had a wonderful tour of historic Charleston with Bonnie as our guide. This was our first time in Charleston, and we really learned a lot about the history of the city as well as enjoying all the architecture and sights we saw on our tour. Bonnie’s extensive knowledge and professionalism made this a most memorable experience.
Our guide Valerie knew her history and was very funny. She taught us a lot and made this a fun tour.
