We purchased a ticket online after the tour operator’s website. First bus was scheduled for 9:30. When we arrived, we learned the first bus was at 10:00. Bus was advertised as running until 7:00 pm. Due to a city parade, last bus was 2:00 pm. There was no warning of this on the website, and no refund was offered. We were offered a future ticket, but were only in town for a day. Nice people. Very poor communication and lack of service after the sale. Would not recommend this company.

Bus stops are impossible to locate. I had bought a 2 day pass and were only able to finally find on the second day. There is no street signage and the maps on our phones were not accuate.

Essential for a general discovery of the city. The open top of the bus allows you to admire the magnificent facades and monuments of Madrid. The audio guide commentary with a choice of language allows you to identify them. For those who fear the sun, part of the roof is closed. It is a very good way to identify the neighborhoods of Madrid to plan a more in-depth walking tour. I really recommend it.
Informative, organized, clean. The purple line is more historic, however we found a way too many trees to see structures. The yellow line, was more enjoyable however the person given the earphones locked customer serviceabilities. If you were to compare this to Barcelona customer service, Barcelona wins. Although the person given the actual ticket initially was from Venezuela and he seems very polite polite including informative

TOO HOT! Your busses are in desperate need of air conditioning or more windows to open- I can’t I understand why your buses don’t have windows that can open not every person wants to sit up top. Our Guid on the bus did not offer maps or headphones we had to ask, should be a standard for them to offer as you board the bus.

This company should check their coopeators and their workers and policies. The woman who sold us ticketa at Porta del Sol place going to San Gines olace, lied straight to us about the time saying there is a tour in the evening and there was none. We bought the tickets shortly before 8, told us the stop is 5 10 minutes away. We looked, waited and since we didn' t have time to go tomorrow due to our plane could not ask for refund. All in all be careful where you get the tickets and I do not know about the comoany but if you work with people like this, who operate dishonestly...maybe you will have your numbers but you will not ger cecommendation from me and YES, I do work in turism, everybody says haf truths, but this is just scam. Madrid, by the way is both amazing and dissapointing in many ways...long story
Had the most amazing tour with "Fran" on the "red route" the "historical" tour. He was so infectious and the most amazing tour guide. An absolutely fabulous experience. We boarded the bus around 13.30 on Sat. 20 June last. I could not praise Fran enough. He literally made the tour. We finished the tour at the last stop and then took a break and boarded the bus for the "Yellow route" around 3.30. Unfortunately it was not a "live guided tour". We were given headphones - which did not work for the entire trip, so we might as well have been on a public bus for the entire tour. I did mention it to the young lady who was guiding the tour as we departed on Gran Via but she literally brushed me off and did not take account of the fact that we were very unsatisfied with the tour - extremely rude on her part. We did have the benefit of the 24-hour ticket but were so unimpressed by the "yellow route" that we were not willing to risk our valuable holiday time doing the "blue route" because of our experience on the "yellow route". A lot of money to spend for literally "ONE" trip! Very disappointed with Big Bus Madrid Hop on Hop off Tour. We have to say though that Fran on the "red route" was just amazing and he is a credit to your staff. We could not recommend him highly enough - he was brilliant and thank you so much to Fran - but the rest of the tour I would not recommend - purely because we were dismissed so offhandedly by the staff member on the yellow route - she could really do with some customer service training. Not acceptable to be dismissed in such a way by a staff member. I hope I will hear back from you with a response!

It was VERY hot to enjoy, no air con felt very rushed as they passed by everywhere.. we really struggled. Also the bus stops had no signage etc

Where to start. Well it would be good to start at all. At the stop an hour and more and more people joining with no bus in sight. Meanwhile Citytours are flying by every few minutes. I am sorry we didn’t purchase their ticket, please don’t make the mistake we did.

Bus a pretty punctual every 30 mins. Very friendly and helpful guides. The stops are in great areas to hop on and off giving you enough time to walk around and take some pictures.
