Nas was an excellent guide. Fun and informative with a wealth of historical knowledge. He showed us everywhere and was a perfect guide for navigating the back streets of Stone Town. Thank you, Nas!
Nas provided us with a very informative and fun tour through Stone Town. He answered all of our questions and was a wealth of historical information and fun facts. Couldn’t have asked for more!
Nasser was an amazing guide. He spoke very good English and explained everything clearly and succinctly. He was very kind and patient with us and answered all our questions. He started by asking us what we preferred to focus on and then built the tour around our interests. Having said that, we covered all the major historical sites, along with the Darajani Bazaar, where we got to shop for spices. He also got us free ice cream! Overall, a resounding 10 out of 10.
Nas,was the best host we had. He is very patient, kind and respectful. I like how he personalises each tour to a groups liking while making sure he gives you all the information about Zanzibar. He is also mindful of the environment, picks up the litter as we were walking. Amazing photographer as well.

It means a lot that you noticed the effort to share Zanzibar’s history while caring for the environment. I’m happy the photos captured your experience too—your recommendation is truly appreciated!

Highly recommended tour! It covered a lot of stonetown and it was tailored based on my interest. He is highly knowledgeable in history and he was able to answer all my questions properly, from political economy to linguistics.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the tour and that I could tailor it to your interests. It was a pleasure sharing Stone Town’s history and answering your questions.
Naz was absolutely fantastic in so many ways! He speaks excellent English, which shows right from the start how committed he is to giving guests a great tour. When you talk to other locals, you often notice a clear difference in their language skills—which is by no means meant to be derogatory toward the others, but rather highlights Naz’s exceptional dedication. He also has a deep understanding of Stone Town’s centuries-long history. I noticed that he actively seeks out new information as soon as he identifies a gap in his own knowledge. Furthermore, he tailors his approach to each guest individually, which made me feel very well taken care of. It should be noted, however, that I was traveling alone—such personalized attention naturally depends on the specific context and the size of the group. In addition, he adapts flexibly to each client’s individual needs. He takes the time to explore a topic in greater depth if you wish, politely intervenes if you feel pressured by other locals, and goes above and beyond his actual job description in many ways. I highly recommend Naz without hesitation!

Thank you very much
Naz was a very pleasant and informative guide. He had a lot of knowledge, his English was good and he was clear to understand. He didn’t rush things and I felt I could look at some things longer if I liked. A couple of sites were closed for renovation but we visited the slave market museum instead. ( Admission at own cost) I highly recommend this tour and Naz, as a great way to get informed and know your way around Stone Town.
