O destino mais sagrado e reverenciado para a religião sikh, Amritsar, também é um nome popular nos capítulos da história indiana. O Museu Partition é um museu público localizado na prefeitura de Amritsar, na Índia. Há cerimônia diária de hasteamento e abaixamento de bandeiras na Fronteira de Wagah, que é feita com pompa e cerimônia. Envolve alguns dos membros mais altos da Força de Fronteira Indiana e os Rangers paquistaneses marchando e fechando os muitos portões. Tornou-se uma tradição para pessoas de ambos os lados da fronteira se reunirem e verem isso. Desde 2010, a cerimônia de Wagha começou a diminuir, de modo que se pode ver menos do florescimento dos capacetes de pavão e do passo de ganso.

Na sequência Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple e Partition Museum serão cobertos por um passeio a pé. Do Partition Museum, o hóspede será escoltado de carro até a cerimônia de retiro na fronteira de Wagha e depois cairá no hotel.

We booked a Holiday package from this agency. It was fantastic tour and very reasonable price of our six day tour to Chandigarh to Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Amritsar and drop back to Chandigarh. Driver Karan was very good fellow. Our Amritsar day tour was good. They showed us Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Warmemorial and Wagha border retreat ceremony.
The whole temple area is an amazing place. It is beautiful by day and by night. You can visit whenever you like. There are booths to safely leave your shoes. They provide free drinking water.
I would highly recommend this tour. Amritsar is a very busy complicated place for anyone unfamiliar with the area. Our driver/guide was outstanding. He made sure we were always well looked after and in the right place at the right time. His commentary was interesting and easy to understand.
omg what a religious and pious atmosphere at golden temple... young and old devoties perform there prayers so well all around....dont miss food at LANGAR world's largest comunity kitchen everything is so well organised for almost 1 lac people food everyday

It wasn't a guided tour , more like a taxi ride and being dropped off at each location. No explanations given at each location very disappointed

The Golden Temple is a must, no matter what religion people are. We went during the day and took a tour provided by an employee of the temple. It was amazing. We saw the kitchen, which provides enormous amount of free meals for the devotees. The next day, we went for the evening ceremony. This was something very special, which will stay with me for long time.
Unfortunately the experience was quite stressful. First of all the tour company, despite asking, didn't let us know what time we were being picked up for the tour and by whom until the middle of the night. They also told us it was one person but then another person arrived, which we thought was a scam. The chauffeur was very nice and tried to be helpful, but was obviously NOT a guide and did NOT speak English, so took a while to work out that he had replaced the original guide. We rang the tour company to say he didn't speak English and they did quickly send someone to meet us who did speak English and was an actual guide. However he was not with us for the last part of the trip to the Wagha Border so we got lost on the way out of the ceremony. The tour company also did not inform us that the Partition Museum was closed on the day of the tour.
