Golden Dome Cabaret Show Bangkok

First, the entertainment value of this experience is rich. Stage, costumes, and performances were great. The performers were excellent as the ladyboys and men are quite talented. And, in terms of the ladyboys, they kept you guessing in terms of whether they were truly ladies or ladyboys which is a testament to them living out their truth in identity. Only when it all ended and you could see them and hear them up close could you tell the difference. The mystique added to the fun. For what may be our only trip to Bangkok, this was one of our highlights. Do yourself a favor and have the experience as part of the culture. Would have given 5 stars but lip-synching kept it at 4.

I fully recommend the experience, we had an interesting evening! The show was condensed, no pause and the choreography was one by one, so you will see a lot of performances in short time. It was a theatre room, no food etc, but it is not needed, the show last just one hour. Nice costumes, not cheep, all focus on detail, gestures and choreographies. The “girls” are simply amazing, very feminine and gracious, womans should learn some from theese girls. We were more surprised on the transformation itself, it is a thing to see. Also you have to be a little open minded, but at the end nothing vulgar or very inaproprite, just fun. For us the place was far (our accomodation was in the turistical temples area, the other part of the city), check arrival time in order to get in time, she show starts in time, no delay. As reccomendation for organisers, I did not liked that the show was all playback, and almost nothing in english, we did not understood the songs etc. Also after the show you can make pictures with the performances only py paying, in was odd. By total, was intersting, definitelly reccomend, you will have somenthing to debate after.

When the curtain rose, we thought the show was going to be cheesy -- and it far exceeded our expectations. Lovely costumes and beautiful performers, both male and ladyboys. The costumes were especially grand and colorful. If you can get past all the lip-synching, it's definitely a fun night out. As others have said, all of the performers hang out in the courtyard and invite you to take photos with them (for a few Baht). They obviously really enjoy what they do and couldn't have been more excited. We just wish there were more people in the audience! Even though the 700-seat theater was nowhere near capacity, the performers gave it their all. The theater itself is indeed quite grand (we wish we could have gotten the story on why it was built originally and what the history is) and it's a decent Grab ride away from most hotels in a mostly residential neighborhood. Be wary of the taxi drivers who are quite aggressive after the show ends -- we were insistent and waited for our Grab to come (which given the location and late hour, took a while). With your ticket, you also get a free bottle of water but strangely they don't sell drinks or food anywhere so there's nothing else to bring with you into the auditorium.

Very good show, the sound was clear and the theatre was also clean and organised also, the staff were polite and helpful , they changed my seat to suit my needs accordingly,
