Our family (group of 2 adults and 2 kids 5 and 9 (12 days glamours of Sri Lanka tour ) had a truly unforgettable experience on this trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide in Heshan . This is the 1st time we have travelled with kids in a booked tour arrangement as all previous overseas trips have been self guided and we were little nervous how things would go with kids and type of tour guide we would get . A huge part of what made this trip special was Heshan- He was very easy going and talk to- easily interacted with the kids and kept their needs in mind especially on the long drive days . Heshan was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had an amazing time . We always felt safe, well looked after, and relaxed throughout the tour . His warm personality and attention to detail truly made our holiday exceptional. Heshan”s vehicle was always clean and bottled water readily available , whilst driving in Sri Lanka can be at times little scary , he didn’t use the horn too much and handled the situations very well - a very safe and professional driver . Overall I Would highly recommend Heshan as a tour guide and we wish him all the very best in all his future trips. I would also like to call out Hiruni from BH Lanka tours - I contacted BH Lanka tours directly after seeing amazing reviews on both tour radar and trip advisor- from day 1 she was exceptional to deal with, very professional and patient and provided clear and prompt Communication with the many changes we made to our itinerary - the tour couldn’t have been this amazing without her amazing customer service from our 1st enquiry- thanks Hiruni for organising an unforgettable trip for our family. Sri Lanka has so much to offer from the rich culture/ history to the amazing landscapes, The people are genuinely so warm and welcoming. Finally a couple of suggestions for BH Lanka tours to consider- I would have liked to spend an extra day in Nuwara Eliya . I also recommend not having an overnight stop at wasakuda on last day as there nothing to do , it would be better to have 2 days in Colombo as having less than 1 day in Sri Lanka”s capital does not allow sufficient time to explore what it has to offer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable family adventure — Sri Lanka at its very best Where do we even begin? Sri Lanka is simply a breathtaking country — vibrant, welcoming, and packed with spectacular scenery and an abundance of incredible wildlife. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be something special, and BH Lanka Tours delivered an experience that will live long in our family’s memory. The real star of the show was our driver and guide, Rohan. He genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his warmth and knowledge made the whole trip feel effortless. What we particularly appreciated was that Rohan always took the time to explain each site and experience before we arrived, so we felt informed and excited rather than just turning up blind. He also gave us complete flexibility throughout — there was never any time pressure, and we always felt like the itinerary worked around us, not the other way around. Most of the sites are unescorted, which was actually a highlight for us. It gave our family the freedom to explore at our own pace, soak everything in, and make each place our own. The people of Sri Lanka made every stop even more memorable — genuinely some of the friendliest and most welcoming people we’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world. The tour itself was wonderfully varied, covering fantastic places and experiences across the country. Two moments stand out above everything else. Climbing Sigiriya Rock was an awe-inspiring experience — the views from the top are simply unforgettable and well worth every step of the climb. And then there was Yala National Park, where we were lucky enough to spot leopards in the wild — an absolutely magical moment that left the whole family speechless and one we will treasure forever. A few honest caveats worth mentioning for fellow travellers: the accommodation is mostly half-board and while we thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the hotels, the Araliya Red in Nuwara Eliya was the one exception for us. Some of the properties across the tour are a little tired, and the buffet food can be hit and miss. But hand on heart, these are minor points that barely dented what was an overall five-star experience. If you’re considering Sri Lanka as a family destination, stop deliberating and book it. And make sure you ask for Rohan.

We travel the world, and it is far from often that when you every day for 13 days get into the car in the morning, you are happy to see your guide and driver. Our eleven-day tour was very varied and exciting. Again and again there was something new fascinating to discover. The mixture was just awesome: Culture, history, temples, wildlife, mountains, waterfalls, tea plantations, train ride,... and made the trip unforgettable for us. We were very pleased with our driver Bhathiya, at the same time also guidebook. Very competently he could give us a lot of interesting background information. We had an incredible 9-day customized version of the glamour tour of Sri Lanka organized by BH Lanka Tours. I recently completed a 10 day tour of Sri Lanka with BH Lanka Tours, and had a fantastic time. The pre trip planning comms with Sanju was always quick and efficient. He was extremely detailed when responding and provided suggestions and amendments to the itinerary numerous times to suit our needs and tastes. Our guide and driver, Sakun, was informative and knowledgeable about the local culture and history. He was polite, punctual and flexible, allowing us just the right amount of personal time whilst also being available to provide assistance as needed. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Yala National Park, where I so wanted to see a leopard. Sakun was determined to make that happen, and thanks to him i did! One of the tour highlights along with climbing Sigariya and visiting the tea plantations by Nuwara Eliya. Overall I would recommend BH Lanka Tours and Sakun as your guide.

An unforgettable experience! I was told how much I would enjoy Sri Lanka and the scenery and the food but I wasn’t prepared for how many amazing historical and cultural sites there are, the jaw dropping wild life. I can’t wait to visit again.

Our experience in Sri Lanka over exceeded our expectations. From a beautiful country, wonderful people, outstanding food it was truly magical.
