A Grande Esfinge de Gizé é um dos monumentos mais icônicos do Egito e do mundo. É uma estátua de pedra calcária com o corpo de um leão e a cabeça de um homem, acreditado para representar Faraó Khafre (construtor da segunda pirâmide em Gizé). A Esfinge tem cerca de 73 metros de comprimento e 20 metros de altura, tornando-se a maior estátua monolítica do mundo antigo. Ele se dirige diretamente para o leste, em direção ao sol nascer, e foi visto como um poderoso guardião do Plateau de Giza. A estátua tem mais de 4.500 anos (que remonta a cerca de 2500 aC). We had an incredible experience visiting the Giza Pyramids. Seeing these ancient wonders in person was unforgettable.
