Unfortunately, the cable car was closed so we rode the minibus that only stopped at two places (10 and 20 minutes respectively) not what we expected! Another thing that bothered us was that at the border control they wanted us to leave fingerprints which we refused because it is not (so far) mandatory! After a while we were let through though, was a bit sour on some people!
I took the disastrous Granada tour with them the previous day. The ignored me!!! I asked to can do this one and they never got back to me. And I tried to reach out to them in any way possible. Getting to Gibraltar takes forever because they stop everywhere!!! They should just stop in specific areas of the city/town, not in each hotel. When we get to Gibraltar, the tour guide informed to some of us “you only have the shopping tour.” So we were supposed to be there more than 4hs on our own just shopping! Really? So I paid this “tour” only to be a 3hs transportation to go and another 3hs to come back. It wasn’t the same tour guide, but this one was also a bit careless and messy. This agency is the worst!!!
Dear ignaciof562, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It saddens me to learn taht you didn't realize the tour option you booked for Gibraltar, I would like to inform that we offer Gibraltar tour guided tour as well as we offer the shopping option, which does not include a guided tour, Regarding the ride to Gibraltar, as all agencies are informed, the duration of the ride might vary as we offer several pick up locations, Sincerely,
If you want to see monkeys and more than town, book full tour air pickup a separate tour once in the town. Shopping tour only takes you to the town
Easy booked and everything was seamless. Tour guide was very good and the coach was spotless. The hotel for the trip was 75 euros each, however I guess that might have included the rock tour too. We just booked the shopping tour to Gibraltar not knowing there’s an extra tour to the top. That said our tour was 88 Euro for all three of us. We had a look around a few drinks and a great steak meal in Paparazzi Steak Cafe which was awesome. All in all a great day out along the Southern coastal road to Gibraltar. We normally book days out at the hotels we stay, however now Tripadvisor is worth a look too.
As an excursion I wouldn't call it, although it has an accompanying guide who keeps explaining all along the way all the areas, the shopping option that we took is free time in Gibraltar, quality price very well
We went as a family to do shopping and make the kids feel like being in England! The truth is that it gave us time to everything, shopping, eating, walking, seeing the boats. Next we'll go and visit the monkeys and the cave. Good thing the bus had air because it was still hot.
I paid money in advance and just wasn't taken away. Driver claims I wasn't there. Although I have photos as proof. I was at the agreed meeting point at 7:20 in the morning. There were 3 buses. No list had my name on it. Even though I had confirmation in my hand that I paid. Nobody had taken me. When asked to clarify this with the office, only the answer came ' Not my problem' . The money's gone and the vacation's been ruined. I'm a cancer patient and I was so looking forward to it.
Dear mathiasgX3129JJ Thank you for sharing this review, Please bera in mind that this tour was booked with departure from Torremolinos tent Hotel at 7:30h, Our bus attended the Tent Hotel at 7:30h, the guide hopped off and asked for the customers on our tour, nevertheless nobody answered when he indicated the name you provided. The bus left at 7:30h to Gibraltar. Sincerely,
Great communication from the host prior and during the trip but the fact they ran the trip on the day of a national bank holiday for Gibraltar was a joke! Not one shop open for obvious reasons and the bars were packed with locals celebrating and the trip to the rock was over a 4 hour wait which when you only have 3.5 hours in Gibraltar till pick up you kind of have had a wasted day. Other travel companies blocked out the BH date I’ve since found out shame this one just wanted to take people’s money without the important info.
Dear F4397JRvincentb, Thank you for taking the time to share this review, I regret to learn that the tour didn’t live up to your expectations. Please notice that you can find all the information related to the excursion on our official selling spots and website, including a detailed description of the itinerary of the tour. We do not operate the tour when is a bank holiday because is when shops are closed and we want our customers to enjoy the shopping experience. Best regards,
My opinion about the trip from Torremolinos to Gibraltar: One positive aspect of the trip was definitely the driver and guide (I believe his name was Francisco, a gentleman fluent in Spanish, English, and French), who did their job professionally. The guide entertained us with his jokes and ensured a good atmosphere despite some frustrations from the group. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the positives end there. We boarded the bus in Torremolinos at 7:25 AM and arrived in Gibraltar at 11:10 AM. According to Google Maps, the journey should take 1 hour and 40 minutes for 123 km. The bus had too many stops, and combined with the traffic, this made for an unbearably long ride. As a result, we only had about 4 hours in Gibraltar (instead of the advertised 5 hours), so we had to rush through our visit. Part of the delay was also due to some travelers who ignored the requirement to bring their documents. To avoid such situations in the future, perhaps you could emphasize, in bold, underlined, and highlighted in red, that documents are mandatory when confirming the trip. It would also be sensible to send participants an email, Viber, or WhatsApp message with the guide's contact information a day before the trip, so they can be reached if needed. We arrived back in Torremolinos at 6:58 PM, tired and with mixed feelings. We were happy to have experienced something new but also disappointed that it didn't fully meet our expectations. If you embark on this trip with the mindset that you'll be spending about 8 hours on the bus, you won't be disappointed! :)
Dear Cyberina, Thank you for taking the time to write this review, It saddens me to learn that you were not satisfied with the Gibraltar tour, Please bear in mind that the complete description of the tour is shared with all authorized selling points and agencies. The description indicates that all customers must bring the documents needed to enter Gibraltar as well as the indication about the tour's duration, which might vary as we offer several pick-up locations. I appreciate your kind comments about our tour guide and driver, Best regards,
The write up implied that this was a direct shopping trip. When I enquired regarding a hotel pick up prior to leaving Canada, I was told that it was not possible. Consequently I spent 22 Euros on a taxi to the start point only to see folks picked up at my resort and almost 3 hours of pick ups at numerous other hotels. In addition, there were about 4 different tour groups on this packed bus which broke off to smaller buses once we all arrived in Gibraltar. I was dropped off at my hotel on my return but it made for a very early start as I left my hotel at 6 AM instead of pick up at 0740.
Dear rodriguet166, Thank you for taking the time to write this review, It saddens me to learn that you were not correctly informed about the pick up optionsavailable by your booking agency, Please bear in mind that we offer several established meeting points in Costa del Sol, but we also recommend reconfirming the details directly with our office where customers can verify if the pick up at their hotel could be available, Regarding the size of the groups, we do not offer small group tours for this visit, as all authorized selling points are informed, Sincerely,
