My was nice but very quiet. He would answer my questions so he knew somethings but had nothing prepared and we mostly walked down the streets of the old town in silence unless I asked something. For a very expensive private tour it was terrible. I would have gotten more out of a cheap group tour.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry the experience did not live up to what you paid for. While our Lokafyers are locals who share their city from their own perspective rather than professional licensed guides, we do expect them to be warm, engaged, and proactive in sharing their city, not passive or quiet. A tour where you were largely walking in silence unless you asked questions does not reflect what Lokafy should feel like, and it falls short of the standard we hold our Lokafyers to. We will be investigating this internally to improve the way our guides interact with travellers. Luisa, our tour guide, introduced us to places we would not have been able to find on our own. The narrower street in Europe or Vico in Genovese, a beautiful elevated park, built on top of a catacomb, with a gorgeous view of the city and the mountains. A very beautiful and peaceful place! And lots more!! She obviously loves her city and her enthusiasm was contagious. She told us about a very pleasant and out of the was Restaurant where we enjoyed an authentic Genovese lunch and the most delicious apple crumble we have ever tasted! Yum! Thank you Luisa for a truly unforgettable experience.
Davide was an incredible guide. Thoughtful, reflective, shared a good balance of history with modern anecdotes and was an incredibly kind person to get to know. It felt as if we were walking around with a friend. You MUST do this tour. We walked by several large group tours and they were so impersonal and not "local". He supported our language learning and we felt blended with the city and culture.

Good tour with Davide, our guide who was very friendly, he adapted the tour to our wishes and gave us a nice overview of the city. He also gave us good advice and adresses for our stay.
Davide was excellent, it was perfect for my family, casual, comfortable, just the right amount of walking.
Davide was an excellent local guide. He met us at our hotel and walked us through the old town, and down by the water before showing us a few of his favourite spots. He provided a thoughtful history of the city and region as we walked and it was great to get to see Genoa through the eyes of a local. Highly recommend Davide as a guide!
We really enjoyed our tour of Genova with Davide. He had an extensive knowledge of the history of Genova and tailored the tour to our interests. To top it off he recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch.
