Very nice history tour around Gdansk with knowledgeable and fun Alicia. Lots of local connections and personal experiences/connections. Recommended.
We’re 5 friends from Denmark who wanted to get a closer look at Gdansk by bike, and especially wanted to learn more about Gdansk and Polands history. We therefore booked a guided tour with Poland by locals-Tours in Gdansk. And we had the most fantastic day - with an extraordinary knowledgeable guide who gave us a lot of Gdansk and Polish history, visited interesting, special and other places we would never found ourselves- as well as being shown the must-see places. She was just fantastic 😊💚. And the bikes: just excellent 👌 Olav and friends from Denmark
The tour was excellent and Lucas was very informative and knowledgable. Lucas gave us great tips, on local places to visit. I cant rate Lucas highly enough. 3 hour tour is highly recommended.
This is an informative and enjoyable tour, with a very knowledgeable guide. The exercise is moderate but many cobblestone old streets may make it challenging for some riders. The group was able to see several parts of the old city and the remarkable growth in new construction. The history and presentation of the Solidarity shipyard site was a particular interest., and the narrative of the political changes in Gdansk from medieval to current times was one that every serious student of history should enjoy. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone able to participate.
Lukas was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and relaxed, he showed us all around Gdansk and the shipyard including the Solidarity exhibition. I must admit I didn't know much about the 1980s strike and how this contributed to the end of communism in 1989. It was also fascinating to hear about the German invasion of Gdansk in 1939 and the rebuilding of the city after 1945 in a 17th century style. I can't recommend this enough as a way to see the city and get an understanding of both it and Polish life in general. Rich & Steve, Huddersfield, UK
Our guide Lukis was terrific. He was friendly and easy going. He had a great knowledge of Gdansk and obviously very proud of his home town. He gave us great insights and stories about the rich history of the city and was happy to be answer our endless line of questions!!
Guided in English and by bike, this city tour contains the most important information and sights of the city of Gdansk and parts of its history. It is not boring and does not last too long.We were there with our own bikes, but all participants receive one
Wow, a perfect afternoon spent in Gdańsk! The city has so much history, it was truly enriching for the rest of our trip to have the background on what the major landmarks in the city truly represent. Our tour guide (sorry I forgot her name, but she is a Ukranian woman who has lived in Gdańsk for ten years) was an absolute wealth of knowledge and she did an incredible job. Just a note, Gdańsk is still quite a busy city so you should be comfortable cycling and being alert around other tourists, locals, cars, etc.
A wonderful way to learn about the history of Gdansk with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Easier to bike than walk.
Great guide, good bikes, and slightly off the beaten path ride. The time frame was just right and left us enough time to have lunch and enjoy to city
